Location was perfect for exploring all Black Mountain has to offer within walking distance! Loved the front porch with swing and view of the mountains.
My husband and I made an impromptu decision on Thanksgiving day to take a weekend trip to Black Mountain the following day and found Suite 5! Suite 5 is part of a large, renovated house and is so close to the main streets of Black Mountain, just a short walk to shops and restaurants...it is a great location! The room is fully equipped with all you need (stove, microwave, fridge, dishes etc) and has a very generous supply of coffee and tea but it's main draw is its proximity to the town and its reasonable price. If you're wondering on the size of the room, we are average sized people and didn't feel cramped at all and we loved it (we would definitely return to Suite D). The owners are so helpful and kind and will bend over backwards for you. I highly recommend this little space!
This room was perfect for us! Comfortable and quiet! The kitchen has all of the appliances and gadgets you need. . It's a short walk to town, for dinner, drinks and music. We saw a great 4th fireworks show. I would definitely book this room again!
Although small, the room was comfortable and charming and had everything we needed. The kitchen is clean and well stocked (with coffee!). The bathroom has a good shower. There’s a private table and two chairs outside on the front porch. (Great place to drink your morning coffee!) It's an easy walk to downtown stores, restaurants, breweries, etc. Note this is an older house, but it’s been nicely restored.

Excellent location. Very walkable to all the downtown areas. Outside lighting could be improved as it was very dark coming up the stairs. Only one small automatic light on the entrance of the stair area was working. The unit was very clean and cozy and you could actually cook a nice meal in the kitchen. Private outside deck was large and a place we enjoyed in the mornings and afternoons. The only caveat was there were only two towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth for the both of us to share all weekend. Also, the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. We would stay there again but I would bring a few towels and washcloths next time so we could have extra.
Definitely a great location for walking to downtown, if you don’t mind a slope or two, that aren’t bad. Great shops and restaurants! My husband and I like to sleep on double bed, but just know one person has to climb in and out or you both get up for nighttime bathroom trips:). Very quiet.
