Disgusting

The place stunk from the instant you walk in, the landlady made sure money was taken before we saw our rooms. The bed was a wooden block with a mattress on, the sink was cracked, there was mould on the curtains and the shared bathroom and toilet were disgusting, the toilet had poo on the floor the whole time we were there and the breakfast was barely edible AVOID at all costs

Basic but pleasant

Hotel staff were welcoming, room was fine, although with their being 3 of us we had a room with bunk beds, the double was comfortable the bunk bed was not!! Fairly clean, but very dated. The location of hotel is unfortunate as there were young people outside of hotel late at night driving around on motorbikes, luckily we were not disturbed and they kept themselves to themselves. Breakfast was fine, we had some difficulty regarding vegetarian sausages...

familiengeführtes Haus in heruntergekommener Gegen

Small family hotel giving good value for money wit

When we first arrived we were greeted by the hotel owner Maggie who offered to move her own car to enable us to park in her space rather than go to the car park at the end of the road. During our stay Maggie was lovely, nothing was too much trouble she even offered to shop for us should we have needed anything. The breakfasts were excellent as was the evening meal. We would not hesitate to stop there again as we have never been treated as well- everything was so relaxed.

Nice staff. Dirty bathroom

I booked for my partners birthday. I booked a room with a private bathroom, however they had double booked so we had a room with a shared bathroom. Staff were nice gave us a free drink for our troubles. However when it came to using the facilities, the shower had other people's hair up the walls and the toilet kept being covered in other people's wee!! Every time I used them I had to clean them myself... Looked like the toilet hadn't been hoovered in a long time either. Floor was really dirty :/. Shame because staff were nice.

uncomfortable

I really don't know how this hotel has such great reviews. On the way up, we recieve a phone call to ask our eta as there might not be anyone there to let us in. This caused great anxiety especially whn we were caught in a traffic jam. Fortunately we rung back and were advised thst someone would be there. Nevertheless this caused more stress on an already stressful journey. When we arrived, it took us over an hour to get parked. There is absolutely no parking there. Thankfully the owner moved her car so that we could park by the hotel. The room was very basic. If you are larger than the average person, there is noway that you would be able to walk between the bed and the wall. Another reviwer described it as cosy .... she'll certainly be comfortable in a coffin then!!!! talking of the bed, this matress is the most uncomfortable matress i have ever slept on. The springs were digging into us and every time you turned over the noise was deafening! On the second night we flipped the matress and thankfully that was a much better nughts sleep - maybe we were so exhausted from the no sleep the previous night? Breakfast was good although they don't serve this until 9am. ?

A very pleasant stay, with superb service from Maggie and her family. Close enough to walk to the prom, piers and town. Would recommend to others.

family weekend trip. The Braemar was perfect for our needs. One of our rooms was on second floor and on the Satursay night this was a bit noisy but only till just after midnight. Maggie was really pleasant and kind.

Great weekend

Just back from staying at the braemer with my wife and had a tear time. Maggie was very welcoming and approachable. She also helped us out with tickets for the match( the football stadium is on the hotels doorstep). Room was clean and very fresh. My wife likened it to fresh clean clothes smell once we has opened the door to the room. Would recommend. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in blackpool over the years, but I will definitely be staying here again.
