Girls Weekend

5 of us enjoyed a fabulous weekend of playing games, hot- tubbing, paddle boating, watching movies eating and lots of laughing and eating. This was the perfect venue.

Loved our time at the lake house.

We had a great time. The view is great. We didn’t get to use the lake because it was cold. The game room offered an alternative source of entertainment during the chilly nights. The host was friendly and helpful.

Relaxing Getaway

What a beautiful view of the lake surrounded by snow covered trees. A very relaxing and much needed getaway. Everything was just as pictured. The owner was wonderful with communication and got right back to you when you needed something. The home was very cozy and just what we needed.

Family vacation in Poconos

Wonderful house on small private lake provided perfect getaway for grandparents, adult children & young grandchildren. During naps, adults could enjoy hot tub, game room or lake activities. House was just as advertised, very clean & well stocked kitchen. Would recommend to friends!

Wonderful weekend away

We had a great time. The house was incredibly cozy. The sun room in the mornings with the view of the lake was perfect. Bonus of a hot tub! Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Really was a great place to unwind with friends!

Great stay!

The house is clean and well-appointed. There’s a game room and a hot tub (we didn’t use the hot tub or fire pit) but they are nice options. Great location, we went to a local vineyard and a sushi restaurant for takeout and both were close. There is also an outlet mall nearby so plenty to do even if you don’t ski. Thanks for a great stay!

Pleasant get away

We spent a few days over Thanksgiving in the house as a get away from the craziness of daily life. It was supper cold and even snowy so having multiple replace options was amazing. All the amenities we needed for a nice Thanksgiving meal. It was a last getaway for our elderly dog as well, so being able to spend the holiday time with him (and our younger dog) as key. Overall a great rental and great trip.

Best Vacation We Ever Had!

Can not say enough about this wonderful property and our experience in this community. The house itself was spotless, so comfortable and really beautiful. We absolutely loved the room looking over the lake and we spent hours there. The community is very quiet and so peaceful, which promoted total relaxation. We loved the kayak and boat and the lake was gorgeous. The hot tub was just awesome! We cooked out and shared all our meals having used the super well-equipped kitchen which had everything. The bedrooms were spacious and so comfortable. This was probably the most wonderful vacation we’ve ever had and certainly was the most beautiful home we’ve ever rented. Ricky was the most conscientious and responsive host! He ensured a wonderful experience. We have already planned our return for next year. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Extended Weekend Get Away

We had an amazing three-night stay at this rental, and it was perfect for our family of five (two adults and three children). The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home. The kids loved having their own space, and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax after our days exploring. The property manager, Ricky, was wonderful. Perfect Lakeview House

Had a great time with the family celebrating my husband‘s 60th birthday. The view of the lake was beautiful with a perfect spot for fire pit. House was very spacious; lots of room to accommodate everyone. Great information from Ricky. He was very quick to respond and very accommodating. Great neighborhood. Kitchen well equipped. Game room and hot tub a plus would highly recommend.

Family fun

The lake house was really wonderful. There was a lot to do for fun and a lot of potential for relaxation. Highlights of our stay: sitting in the sunroom to look out at the lake during a passing thunderstorm, hot tub at night with stargazing, boats we were able to take out on the lake whenever we wanted, game room with pool table was fun for the kids, nearby Kalahari waterpark was a blast. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed; supplies were well organized and easy to find. Ricky was also a terrific host. He was accommodating and we appreciated the prompt and reliable communication.

Another wonderful weekend at Mt. Maplewood

This was our second year spending a Fall weekend at this property and it was even better than the last. The beds have been updated and are comfortable in all of the rooms. We had another rainy day that kept us off the hiking trails, but there was no shortage of entertainment with the game room, tv, and watching the rain and visiting deer from the sunroom. Ricky is immediately available for any questions, but makes sure you have all of the information you need to enjoy the house before you ever arrive. They also have baby gear available to help minimize packing for the little ones! We look forward to many more stays here in the future.

This property was one of our most favorite VRBO rentals!! Ricky is an excellent host, who was extremely proactive and responsive with his communication! He truly cared for our stay - ensuring we were comfortable and more importantly, having the most amazing time. Ricky was truly welcoming and has one of the best check-in/informational document that includes recommendations and things to do in the area which truly maximized our stay.Ricky’s property is in pristine condition and was extremely clean when we arrived! The property was in such a beautiful, peaceful surroundings but more importantly. very well maintained. A peaceful and quiet stay!

I’ve been grieving two devastating losses in my life and have been out of it for two months. Once I got my commission check I said “I should go away for the weekend” so I decided to go to the Poconos alone - somewhere big with a hot tub and if possible, on a lake. Well - this is EXACTLY what I wanted, and it’s the first time I’ve actually “relaxed” in two months. The process has been easy, great communication with the owner, and the hot tub with the view of the lake was the absolute highlight. Otherwise, I just got amazing sleep, played some PlayStation five and watched movies. It was just perfect all around. I am DEFINATELY coming back!!! Can’t wait to check this place out in the Spring/Summer!!!

Wonderful!

We’ve been renting homes in the poconos for 3 years now, this is our first time at maple wood lake house. You can really tell that Ricky is invested in ensuring every renter has a wonderful stay. His recommendations for things to do in the area were spot on! (Bike rides in Jim Thorpe, hiking at the falls) The house itself is well maintained and in a perfect location. The beds are very comfortable! The kitchen is fully stocked with all essential cooking items. When our children weren’t in the lake, they enjoyed all the games from the fooseball and air hockey tables to the board games in the game closet. We all enjoyed watching the stars from the hot tub at night. There is truly something for everyone here.

Relaxing quick getaway

Spent 3 nights with the intent to just relax and enjoy the fall weather. Everything was easy and exactly as described from the time of booking until check out. The hosts are helpful and very communicative both before and during the stay. The house location is fantastic, lakefront with everything you could need. I loved that the houses weren’t right on top of each other and the trees provided a sense of space and privacy. The sun room looking out on the lake was cozy, the various outdoor seating options were a plus. Loved the fire pit, hot tub and available games/activities. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything you could need. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I loved how every light switch had a label so you know what it turned on/off! Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again, although would plan for an extra day or two.

Beautiful lakefront

Gorgeous lakefront, lots of windows to see it, place to sit outside and enjoy it, and even boats to experience it. House itself is very clean and tastefully decorated but hasn't been updated recently. The housing development rules are annoying (limiting fire times and having nutty rules about garbage disposal) but not terrible. Also linens are not included which is another annoying part - need to either bring your own linens or rent but either way you need to make and strip the beds. But the view is amazing and the whole house is nice and we really enjoyed the quiet and calm. Also the beds are more comfortable than it looks in the pics. Communication with property owner/manager was excellent - extremely responsive and helpful.

Family vacation

Overall our family had a good trip. The cottage is a good size, nice location and has good amenities to keep the family busy and happy. The lake is quaint, secluded and for the most part very quiet. The home was a little more run down (worn)than the pictures show and what we expected for the price. The owner was extremely responsive and handled communication and problems quickly. The lake was a little smaller than expected and very shallow (you can walk across it) but we had a great time on the provided canoe and paddle boat. The linen rental was frustrating, most rentals come with linens and I am not a fan of having to make and prepare my bed on vacation before I can sleep in it. The community really doesn't have many amenities other than locked tennis courts. The access card really only gets you access to dump your trash. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the lake house... It was very relaxing.

Great Lake getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house! We traveled with other adults and were later joined by our older kids. We loved being right on the lake and my husband was able to walk out and fish any time he wanted to. This allowed the ladies to float on the lake and relax or kayak over to the beach area and lay out in the sun or swim. We made frequent use of the game room and the hot tub. Each night we would sit outside after dinner and just relax and enjoy the view with some wine. The location of the house was within easy driving distance to many activities including wineries, distilleries, antique malls and restaurants. We spent Wednesday afternoon in Jim Thorpe. Unfortunately, we did not know that many of the shops are only open Thursday- Sunday even in the busy summer month of July. We still enjoyed the walk around the area and the local dining. Our Host, Ricky, was very friendly and thorough. There were a lot of items that were provided for us, which was very helpful. The rooms and beds were all very comfortable. He also listed a lot of recommendations of places to go and things to know about in the area. We would love to stay again!
