Room had a kitchen but no silverware/utensils. I got to the address and wandered around for a half an hour trying to figure out how to get into my room or even where my room was after flying for 14 hours. "We had a lovely stay at Hotel Schlosspalais! The hotel was quaint, warm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of Wernigerode Castle right from our room. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the charming old town with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful throughout our stay. A lovely place to stay while visiting Wernigerode!"

"We loved the complementary breakfast, which had a diversity of options, and was well cared for by the hotel staff. Rooms were small and basic but comfortable. Hotel was conveniently located a short walk from the train station, bus station, grocery store, restaurants, and the main shopping district downtown. Recommended."

"We stayed in one of their tiny houses. It was very clean and nicely decorated. There was a sturdy version of a double-bed bunkbed style, a nice bathroom, a kitchen with a tiny dishwasher, a dining room/sitting area. Plus there was a lovely furnished patio area with each tiny house. There was an air conditioner (did not get it to work), but there were also automated loft windows which were fantastic at cooling down the place. Along the beautifully landscaped path to the tiny houses there was a grass area to air-out the dog and a small playground for small children. The hotel breakfast was amazing with various pâtés, fish, bacon, eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit and fresh bread. It was staffed by an amazing group of ladies. The restaurant/bar was pretty and relaxing. Well done!"

There was a wedding on when we arrived but they allowed us to stay & eat as nowhere else around had availability. Lovely to have the church next door & grounds to walk around. Highly recommend.
