Sólfaxi Holiday Home is a luxury holiday villa set in the beautiful Bláskógabyggd area, 100km from Reykjavik and a mere 10km from the one and only Geysir hot spring and Gullfoss waterfall. The home sleeps up to 8 people in luxury accommodation. 4 roomy bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and all the modern amenities anyone could need. There is also an extra bed in the laundry room. Free WiFi throughout the property, plenty of free parking, and a washing machine and dryer ensure that this home away from home meets all your needs.
The holiday villa has a large terrace with hot tub where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Whether you want to cook a gourmet meal in the kitchen or use the barbecue, you will not most certainly find everything you need at Sólfaxi Holiday Home. The villa is perfect for family gatherings or small groups wanting to celebrate together.
The view from the panorama living room windows lets you enjoy the mountain range as well as the Faxi waterfall just a stone’s throw away. The local area has great hiking trails and options for leisure fishing, and river rafting can be found a short kilometer away. Popular tourist attractions such as the Fridheimar tomato farm, Laugarvatn Fontana spa, Fludir, Langjökull glacier and Geysir and Kiðjaberg golf courses are all within 30 minutes of the villa. Many geothermally heated swimming pools in the area, including the secret lagoon at Fluðir and many horse rentals. Many good restaurants are in the area. Nearest grocery shops and petrol stations are in Reykholt, Flúðir and Geysir.
The house is designed to entertain, as there is a big dining table that can seat 16 people comfortably. The house is also perfect for day trips to Reykjavík.

Fabulous house along Golden Circle

This modern home along the Golden Circle was perfect for our family. The views were incredible and it was conveniently located to excursions, waterfall, and restaurants. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend!

Amazing base to explore Iceland

Fantastic location. Less than two hours drive from the airport and you walk through the front door to a real 'wow' moment. The views are incredible. We visited in April and couldn't be happier with the property. One night we were watching a family movie but the northern lights stole the show. If you are looking for a great house in a fantastic location for a family holiday, look no further, this is it.

Beautiful Home

The house is beautiful, modern, and conveniently located to most of the sights on the golden circle! We saw the aurora lights every night we stayed on the deck. Really enjoyed the warm floors and water pressure in the showers, and well-stocked kitchen. Plently of space for our family of 5 and amazing views all around. Easy 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

The views from this home are magnificent. The home is nicely appointed with everything you need for your vacation. A bit remote if you did forget something on your grocery list but the amazing location makes up for everything!

Home feeling villa with stunning view

We stayed in the villa for seven days with our entire family, and it was one of the most comfortable homes we've ever booked. The view was breathtaking. Great Location

Highly Recommended!!! Wife, two kids, and I travelled to Iceland to see the natural land and this home certainly met our needs. We couldn’t have been happier with the location. In addition, the place was very clean and full of all the appliances we needed to have a few family meals. We loved the Hot Tub and was lucky to see the Northern Lights.

Great property with plenty of space for the 4 of us! Amazing views from the living room, fully stocked kitchen, laundry on site. Bit of a bumpy access road to get to the house but if you have a 4X4 should be no problem!

Beautiful building in remote but centrally located spot. Dark enough to catch the Aurora on one clear night. Recommended for those who want to be close to the back country and the natural landscape, but within reasonable distance to necessities.

Amazing views

The views from this house are breathtaking! We stayed here for a few nights and used it to explore the Golden Circle and even all the way down to Vik. Reference the online instructions that the host provides, because some of the printed out house information (like hot tub usage) in the house is outdated. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this to families and to others wanting to stay in the area!

Amazing location, home, and experience with the owner!

This property is as great as it looks on the site! Wonderful countryside location near many of the Golden Circle sites and Secret Lagoon. Well-equipped, perfectly maintained, and offers 180* views over the valley from the living room, outdoor deck, and the hot tub. The owner provided helpful, detailed information before our rental and was almost instantly responsive to queries while we were there. If you want to do more than take bus tours from Reykjavik, I can't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful home with amazing views

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home and would highly recommend it. It was spacious, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful with questions we had prior to arrival. The highlight of our trip was being able to watch the northern lights on the deck. The home also has a spectacular panoramic view during the day. The location was great for day trips to spots along the southern coast and around the Golden Circle.

Big house with a big view

The house is beautifully secluded but still very central for visiting the sights. The Faxifoss is on the doorstep. We, 2 families of 8 people, spent 6 nights in this villa. the view is breathtaking. there was plenty of space for everyone. A big plus are 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. Agni is a great host who responds to my messages quickly and goes to great lengths to make you feel completely comfortable. If we are in this area again, we would rent the house again. thank you Agni for this unforgettable stay.

Beautiful stay with a one flaw

The large house situated in a prime location, offering seclusion and a fantastic view. The jacuzzi was wonderful, the rooms were very spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. However, the cleanliness was disappointing. The kitchen was quite dirty, including the oven, microwave, and fridge, and the washing machine and dryer still had private laundry in them. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Iceland is definitely worth a visit!

Simple and beautiful

This is a beautiful property. The house itself is built at the edge of a steep hill, which offers a stunning view of the surrounding Iceland mountains. We were very comfortable, with the heated floors providing us with great warmth. Again, the location of this secluded cabin cannot be understated. Our group of 7 adults and two children under 2 easily fit well in the seperate bedrooms, with the hosts being very generous and accommodating, especially with kids. The hot tub was a welcome supplement to the already generous package. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Elegant comfort.

This house is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and very functional. What a kitchen! There is a geothermal hot tub. My family loved it. The best feature is how the house maximizes the location and view. Three sides of the house are glass and if we could have seen the northern lights(sadly overcast) it would have been a spectacular place to enjoy them. Thank you for having us we felt so blessed and wish your family all the best.
