We were very disappointed with this property, but our biggest concern was safety.The listing advertises accommodations for eight guests, but that appears unrealistic. The host expects two adults to share each twin bunk bed, which is not a reasonable sleeping arrangement for most groups.The most concerning issue was the bunk room itself. It has no window or other means of emergency egress, which made us very uncomfortable from a fire safety standpoint. Even more alarming, there were no smoke detectors anywhere in the property when we arrived. Traveling with older parents, this was unacceptable and made us question whether the property should be offered as a short-term rental in its current condition.Beyond the safety concerns, the home was clearly in need of maintenance. The grill was broken, preventing us from enjoying the cookout we had planned, and the outdoor table was missing its glass top. We also arrived to find there were no bath towels. The owner did bring brand-new towels about three hours later, but by then the inconvenience had already affected our stay.Overall, this property did not match the listing or our expectations. The maintenance issues were frustrating, but the lack of basic fire safety measures and the unsafe sleeping arrangement were the biggest concerns. We hope these issues are addressed before future guests stay here.
