Of course the building is old but in pretty good shape!! You can just feel the history and image what it was like many many years ago! Great food and the Bartenders were the best!!! My wife and I will be back!!!

The Green Park Inn has a lot of charm but the end is beginning to run down. The best part was the music in the lobby on Friday and Saturday night. Great Entertainment and fun family event.

Money walking out the door. The historic inn needs lots of TLC. The property is lacking investment in serious renovations and this detracts from the allure and charm of its history. There are indicators of an exclusive hotel now reduced to below average accommodations. The noisy boiler that kept guests awake. Rooms that do not look historic just outdated and uncoordinated. Cheap fixtures, decor and hardware that were purchased at a DIY hardware store. The locks that do not work and bathroom doors that do not stay closed. Guests choosing to leave and find rooms in another business just to get sleep. One guest noted this place is not the place of his youth. The poor boy tactics by the owners in using cheap products and labor to sustain this inn are a negative image and poor business acumen. Unfortunately, the lack of proper renovations and maintenance will lead to the rapid decay of the physical buildings and a loss of history for Blowing Rock.

A lovely historic hotel. Staff was very friendly. Easy to check in. Nice, clean rooms. Restaurant for dinner onsite. Lovely breakfast included for stay.

The Green Park Inn is an old historic hotel that has plenty of charm. There is weekend entertainment, which consists of Charley playing the piano. Also, on Saturdays, they will have several others that will drop in and play guitar and sing. I will make another reservation in the near future because I love coming here.

This is a beautiful old inn with lots of charm. It smells, looks and feels old and I loved our stay here. The folks who work there are nice and the breakfast was great! It has beautiful woodwork and I loved the mini museum. It is probably not for folks who need every modern hotel convenience but if you find old places that are full of character charming, you’ll love it.

Enjoy the historical aspect of this property. It is beautiful, in a great location and the staff are super friendly. The dining and bar options in the facility are convenient and the cuisine is outstanding. This will be a winter holiday tradition. Our second stay here and did not disappoint.

OK, please keep in mind I gave five starts for everything, keeping in mind I am reviewing the HISTORICAL Hotel! Of course this is not a modern building but the place is well kept up, people are REALLY nice there, our family including kids enjoying submerging into a past.

Property was beautiful staff was very friendly. We didn't realize until the middle of the night we had no hot water. I'm sure we could have switched but it was too late and we where already settled in

Perfect for anyone who loves and appreciates an historical building. Yes, it is old. Yes, they use actual keys. Yes, there's a LOT of history here!! GPI was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We made a quick trip for my son's birthday, this is our 2nd time here. We were allowed an early check in into a single queen room. Not as nice as our last room, this one could use a little TLC, but still cozy. After drinks at the bar, we enjoyed sitting in the common area with many others while listening to live piano music. Quite relaxing! Breakfast is a hot made to order breakfast, much better than standard stand-in-line breakfast bars at hotels. Hot water takes a while to crank up for a shower but we already expected this so we weren't bothered by it. It truly is a magical, beautiful place, close to downtown Blowing Rock. Friendly staff that wore many hats and handled it well.

Beautiful historic hotel, especially with the Christmas decorations this time of year. There was live music Saturday evening in the lobby, and the staff was friendly. The rooms are outdated, but that’s to be expected from a historic hotel.

It is a older historic hotel so knew some of the rooms would be smaller. WiFi wasn’t very strong and couldn’t stream or connect easily. The dining staff was excellent but adjacent to our table, in closed off area, it was dirty, rice on the floor, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Breakfast was good,library, bar area was nice.we checked in late and looked like we woke up the night lady. She didn’t explain anything about hotel other than our comp breakfast ticket and time of service

Very old property with no recent upgrades. They even still use the old fashioned key to enter the room. Furniture is old. Windows not cleaned. Breakfast was limited and my wife's cup of tea had some old lipstick that was not washed off. The whole facility needs a multimillion overhaul. They don't seem to care about fixing the above.
