Blue Crane Route

"We had a wonderful and relaxing stay, and can’t wait to return to enjoy another few days of game drives and the beautiful surroundings. A big thank you to all the staff at Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve; everyone was so friendly, and professional, and our guide was a wealth of knowledge and expertise and made each drive memorable. Our accomodation was beautiful too, and the location was just as we hoped, and a stop in Graaf Reinet (before or after the reserve) is a must for anyone who...

"Staff and guides were all excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the drives. Lodge and food also excellent and we met some fantastic people, however we very very disappointed with our accommodation. We had expected an individual lodge in a private and peaceful setting however we were situated in a lodge attached to another lodge just above the main lodge and kitchen block. So we could constantly hear noise of the kitchen preparations, plates and bins being emptied and staff singing and talking rather...

"Our stay at Quatermain’s was one of the highlights of our three-week trip through South Africa. Julie was incredibly accommodating and made every request feel easy. Jess and Kyle were excellent game-drive guides—engaging, attentive and clearly passionate about what they do. Nick’s warm hospitality made us feel completely at home, while Riaan’s incredible knowledge brought every part of the walking safari to life. The camp’s thoughtful comforts were equally memorable. Africanos Country Estate

10/10 Excellent

"A perfect stay in Addo! Very comfortable villa-style accommodation. Excellent bathroom and hot water. Safe and secure, and quality restaurant & bar on site. Lovely swimming pool area too. Would recommend as only 12 minutes from main Park gate."

Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve by NEWMARK

Hitgeheim Country Lodge & Eco Reserve

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car washed on departure."
