"Grandview was amazingly supportive, along with the rest of Lake Placid, for the IRONMAN this past weekend. Despite being actively under renovation, the hotel opened up as many rooms as possible, even those that were still incomplete, so we could have the best lodging available (and truly, for IRONMAN--and for the rest of LP for that matter--it doesn't get much better, more convenient, or more beautiful than Grandview). So aside from the ongoing construction, it was a great stay. Though a cable car from street level up to the hotel would not go unappreciated :) :)"

"The room was spotless. Beds were comfortable. Opening up the floor to ceiling drapes revealed a screened in bug free patio that looks out over the beautiful lake. The sandy beach was great with chairs, kayaks, canoes, and a swimming area. Daniela and David were excellent hosts. We will stay the again."

"We stayed just one night this time (Friday). It was wonderful and relaxing. We enjoyed the wood fired pizza up the hill for dinner and breakfast made by the owner with other guests on Saturday morning (waffles, fresh fruit, coffee and tea). That allowed us to get there, relax and hang out, and stay on the property until we left on Saturday, which was nice. We did some bird watching and enjoyed the peace and quiet this homestead offers. I'm sure we'll be back again."
