This secluded retreat combines a thoughtfully decorated interior with a private hot tub, covered porch, and lounging deck. A king bedroom and queen bedroom accommodate up to four guests, with no pet fees.

    AGE REQUIREMENT
    All guests staying at Holly Hollow must be 25 or older. This requirement applies to every guest, not only the person making the reservation.

    Start your morning with coffee on the front porch or relax on the covered porch. Propane grill for fresh dinners. Stairs lead down to the outdoor fire pit and the deck with a private hot tub and comfortable lounging area.

    DOGS ARE FAMILY HERE
    Holly Hollow welcomes up to four dogs with no pet fees, breed restrictions, or weight limits. The fenced dog area is intended for dogs that do not jump; please consider your dog's habits when deciding whether this space is suitable.

    Every stay includes our complimentary Paws on the Porch™ Experience: a large dog bed, food and water bowls, treats, toys, muddy-paw towels, furniture protection blankets, and cleanup bags.

    Holly Hollow is located in Cherry Log in the North Georgia mountains, convenient for exploring Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Roads are paved to the cabin. Stairs are required to reach the lower outdoor fire pit, hot tub deck, and lounging area.

Absolutely perfect!

We went for a long weekend with friends and everything was perfect from the amenities to the location. We visited Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and drove one day to Dahlonega. We were a little early for the leaves changing; however, the scenery is breath taking all year long. Will definitely return!

Great ozy place

The cabin was in great shape and the stay was enjoyable. It was perfectly located to do the things we wanted as well as do nothing but relax. Only complaint would be the internet as it was not strong enough to stream or do things as simple as facebook. Therewas cable TV

We had a good time at Holly Hollow cabin. Peaceful and beautiful location. Cabin was clean inside, however, the living room rugs had strong smell of dog urine. The outside space was not what we expected concerning cleanliness, which prevented us from enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

It was a very nice & clean cabin. This will sound weird, but i study the interior pictures before booking. We have a dog that is scared to walk on slick floors. The pictures showed lots of area rugs. We open the door & see NO rugs. Not a single one. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay

So nice to be able to bring our fur babies and have them experience something new as well. Our only complaint was the fact that if you are elderly you cannot get to the fire pit or the hot tub as the stairs are much too steep. With that said we would recommend the cabin to those able to get around much easier.

Can you rent perfection?

We stayed at Holly Hollow for a little over three weeks and loved it the entire time. The house is beautifully built, furnished and decorated, and we had everything we needed to call it home. I was amazed at the craftsmanship of this Sisson home… so many extras, so much storage area, so comfortable for all of us, which includes our 6 yr old mini poodle.How nice to discover such a beautiful cabin that is dog friendly! Sliding Rock Cabins could not have been easier to work with ! They were responsive to every request and attentive to each phone call, text, or email . I hope we can return someday.We live in southwest Florida, so coming to the mountains was a refreshing respite from the heat and humidity we endure during the summer. It was all close to perfection!

New Year’s Getaway

We come to north Ga with family every year for New Year’s. We love to hike and enjoy the wineries in the area. We enjoy the Cherry Log location for its beauty and convenience. This cabin was very cute and cozy however we feel there are some things that should be addressed. The kitchen had all the necessities although some of the plastic cooking (spatulas,etc) need to be replaced. The area where the hot tub is shows lots of wear and tear so not very inviting. The rugs in the bathroom need replacing or washing. The indoor gas fireplace was great! The second bedroom is very small for two couples. They didn’t have much room to put things away. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

Booked because of "paved roads" to the cabin.

After booking, there was a snow storm warning so I decided to lose two days to be safe. The staff was friendly and changed my booking out an extra day which I did not ask them to do, but I felt was kind and the right thing to do. I was traveling alone with my dog. While I know friends in Blue Ridge, I wasn't sure if they would stop in to pick me up for dinner, so had to list them, their name, ages, vehicles they drive, etc. Booking alone was so much stress I should have known that this would not end well. Their rental agreement which I signed in many forms several times, stated that they are not responsible for bad directions, blaming GPS, but their directions were no better, they were not responsible for bad weather, or no cell service. This would seem reasonable if you had been traveling several times a year in the mountains, for several years, and never were restricted from getting to your cabin by a thick sheet of ice on a steep mountain road, while driving a four wheel drive truck and sliding backwards down the road. There was no cell phone connection, so I was completely alone with my dog and had no idea how long I'd be stuck there. After over an hour a nice man got me out and I luckily, found a dog friendly hotel in downtown Blue Ridge because I was never able to get to the cabin due to ice covered roads for the remainder of my stay.

The Most Spacious Cabin Yet!

Great place to be weather-trapped...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Holly Hollow in January, 2024. We booked a week, but had to arrive late due to weather at our home location. We then had to stay over a couple of days because of weather at our eventual destination in KY. Sliding Rock worked with us every step of the way and we were able to extend our stay with no problems. The cabin is very comfortable, spacious enough to 2 people and 2 dogs, and we were warm inside even with 4 degree temps outside. It was easy to find from the paper directions they sent us, and we were in the quiet woods just 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. This is one of the top 2 or 3 cabins we've stayed in over a 50 year history of renting vacation properties. Also, Sliding Rock is a very fair and flexible rental agency. We've booked with them for years in the Ellijay-Blue Ridge area. They are very responsive to the needs of their guests.
