Had a wonderful and peaceful 12 day solo retreat. The cabin is cozy and pleasant. The kitchen is well appointed. The location can’t be beat, and I think the short trail and bridge to the riverbank is a plus, especially if you enjoy birds out back. The host was friendly and communicative.
This was one of our favorite stays to date!
The cabin is spacious enough to accomodate a small family, with 2 beds in the loft space, a futon in the living room and the large bed on the main floor.
The river is not just outside, its a short walk but totally worth it. And you can hear the river from the moment you get out of the car! is
Overall stay was comfortable. Try to get ahold of property manager never returned call our message me back.
Whish path to the river was more open. Place was very clean. Close to restaurant and a little market.

The cabin was nice, more roomy than I expected. The river is not right up against the cabin, you walk a short path to it. The water was moving quite fast when we went so we didn’t let the dogs get in but otherwise would’ve been a nice spot to do so. The gas station 3 miles away has the most food options in the area if you are trying to make things at the cabin. The place across the street from the neighborhood had good coffee and the BBQ smelled good but we didn’t get to try it. Overall nice place if you are just trying to have a place to stay in the area with a group of people.
My brothers and I rented this property to commemorate the 10 year passing of our mother who owned this property for almost 40 years. The quaint and simple nature of her home, and the gorgeous riverfront, are still very much the same as when she was there. The expanded deck is wonderful!
Jonathan, the manager, was a total delight to work with. He was quick to respond to any questions I had and really strives to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.
We chose this property because we had the impression it was directly next to the river. It was not and in fact we had to walk down a path to get to the river and could not see it from the deck due to woods and flora. Also the ad said TV available but only 2 smart tv options. But was very clean and beds & kitchen comfortable and close to where we recreated
We wanted a cozy cabin near the river and other local hikes. This property fit our needs and was very private. The view from the picture window and large deck was so beautiful with large growth trees and ferns. Cross the bridge and go down a magical little patch to your own spot on the river. So peaceful and scenic! It was my dad's 82nd birthday and he absolutely loved it. The low step in shower made it accessible for him as well. The WiFi speed was outstanding (we weren't expecting that!) and our pup was allowed which is a must in our family. We are definitely interested in a return trip.
The location and access to the river is fantastic. Kitchen could have a few more items for full-meal cooking (we did Thanksgiving and brought our own roasting and casserole pans, which was needed), but it was otherwise delightful!
The set up was cozy and just enough room for 5 of us. The waterfront setting was beautiful. Close to everything we wanted!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
It was a nice place but due to our family size(4 kids 2 adults) the host made us pay extra (375) for the space above the garage. Unfortunately there is no A/C above the garage so the kids had to sleep on the couch and floor in the main cabin. Location is beautiful. Would recommend for a family of 4 or less so they can all fit in the main cabin with A/C.
The cabin was adequate for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the faux fireplace for warming us up, the recently renovated bathroom, and the well stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, the wifi connection was very spotty for us and we did find a few mouse droppings inside a kitchen drawer. Other than that, the place was extremely clean and well equipped. The proximity to Belknap is awesome for an adventure and time in the hot spring pool. The setting is very magical near the river! We found the living room furniture arrangement to be a bit awkward for conversation or watching a movie, and the beds are very soft, for those who prefer former mattresses. When all is said and done, I think we would likely stay again in the future!
While the details of the property listing are accurate, it’s quite misleading if you’re looking for a property for 7 and don’t look at the fine print to see that the three beds in the garage cost an extra 125/night! It was already pretty expensive and too late to cancel without losing all of our money, so all 7 of us crammed in the little cabin. Seems pretty greedy to charge that much extra for a room!
