Wedding weekend in Bluemont
What an incredible house! We hosted our friends and siblings for our wedding weekend and comfortably fit 9 of us - it could easily fit 12 adults though. The property manager was so helpful with our booking; she was willing to answer countless questions and she suggested some really great vendors! Our plan was to use the balcony for our reception/dinner but the weather turned on us, so we moved it inside. They allowed us to move all the furniture to accommodate our event and the space was perfect. Everyone had so much fun in the pool and hot tub, and the sixtels/tapa were a huge hit. We had a variety of singles/couples/siblings and the rooms worked great, especially because so many of the rooms had private bathrooms. As other reviews have mentioned, we also noticed a ton of stink bugs, but other family in the area said the same thing, so it’s probably tough to avoid anywhere. We’d recommend this house to anyone and would love to visit again!

Great venue and atmosphere
Our group did not want to leave! It was a great space, large enough to host friends and family (we had 13 staying in the house) for a birthday celebration. Having the pool, hot tub, gym and spa, as well as a full kitchen, spacious deck with gorgeous views and a backyard equipped with a firepit and space for yard games made it easy for everyone to find something to do while at the house. And, its convenient proximity to Bear Chase Brewery, local hiking trails and short drive to other breweries, wineries and restaurants allowed us show our out-of-town guests the best the area has to offer. The property manager(s) were quick to respond with any questions or requests the group had leading up to and throughout our stay. Would highly recommend and hope we have the opportunity to return in the future.

Wonderful Stay!
The house was beautiful! We loved the pool and proximity to the brewery. The grounds were lovely and we had everything we needed. My only suggestion is that the owners update some of the mattresses. Several beds were very firm and uncomfortable.

Amazing!
We stayed here for my fiancés birthday & had an amazing time! Not only is the well equip, but it is also so comfy. The proximity to the brewery was awesome as they will deliver and set up a keg for you! We also spent a lot of time in the pool. Can’t wait to go back!!

Our stay was wonderful, the one thing I would note is there are a lot of stink bugs we had to kill, they must be getting in through somewhere. The hub seems to be the suite on the main floor, but we found them around the house. Also the floors were quite dirty from guests probably wearing shoes inside; maybe note to guests to take shoes off in the garage. Otherwise a perfect stay, it was beautiful and the pool was amazing

Winter Getaway
Our family throughly enjoyed our winter weather getaway to Virginia. Amazing proper and views. We hit the breweries and wineries and the kids utilized the pool the entire time. Highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean. The pool and hot tub were great. It snowed and we had to leave @ 6am, and the driveway and road were already plowed which we appreciated very much! The one thing we were slightly surprised by is that there was no coffee. Otherwise, the house was very well-appointed. It also might be worth clarifying in the description that the property is right next to the brewery. We didn’t mind, but from the description and pictures we thought the house would be set back in the woods with more privacy. Nonetheless, the view was great! We will try to book again!

We enjoyed our stay at Bluemont, perfect for our management team to have meetings and enjoy the neighboring brewery. Lots of space to spread out and the indoor pool and hot tub was icing on the cake. Cannot beat the views either! Looking to come back again soon!

Work getaway
Took my staff and spouses for a 2 night getaway in this spectacular home! We had an overnight ice storm and stayed inside all day..We played games, relaxed, enjoyed the hot tub and perfect temperature pool! We had great beer, enjoyed cooking and eating great food from the brewery and Monks BBQ! We enjoyed every second of our stay! Thank you Chris for being so accommodating and providing a gem of a home for guests to enjoy for so many occasions.We will be back!

A Christmas Getaway Close to Home
We stayed at Bear Chase Manor early December back in 2021 for two nights and I had been wanting so badly to make the Christmas stay work at some point. This year, it did! It saved my sanity by not having to clean our whole home for guests and decorating. The house was beautifully and tastefully decorated for the season. And truly, the pool and hot tub are what made it so special. Time with the little ones, memories made, older cousins having fun doing more than eating and sitting around the table. The great room was great for games with plenty of space for all. Walks around the grounds were lovely, despite the heavy fog. The proximity to the RV park in Winchester also made it possible for one son and DIL to toggle between their animals and nights at the RV and spending loads of time with us… I don’t want to talk it up too much just in case we want to go again next year!😉

Family wedding weekend

Great Visit to Bluemont
We had a terrific time! The location is beautiful. The property has a lot of amenities. The pool was awesome! Great house to share with family and friends as it is spacious. The showers in a few of the bathrooms were not ideal. The master bath shower on the main floor clogged with water 2 min into showering and didn't drain for 30 minutes after shower ended. Another reviewer complained about the same issue. Disappointed that the owner chose not to address this issue. 2 of the other bathroom showers had fluctuating water temperature during your shower. They went from comfortably warm to luke warm and then bath to comfortably warm throughout your shower. Aside from obvious plumbing issues in several bathrooms our stay was wonderful.

Great group house
Staying on the brewery when you are hosting an event is a huge plus! The view from the living room and porch are really beautiful, and we enjoyed the pool. It's worth noting the main bathroom's ensuite does not have a door between the toilet and the bedroom, and during our stay some of the showers were clogged.

Amazing home on an amazing property! The house was perfect for a group of several adults — enough room for everyone to have their own room and their own bathroom. The house is awesome and the views are amazing. And then there’s the brewery right next door! A great time had by all. Looking forward to making this an annual (maybe quarterly) tradition!

Magical Wedding Weekend Success
This is an amazing house and property! I was getting married at Bluemont Vineyards, roughly 10 mins from this venue, and wanted to have a wedding house for additional wedding weekend festivities. This house exceeded all expectations! From the large balcony, indoor pool, grand architecture and a wonderful brewery literally right next door, this place has it all! The hosts are super communicative and flexibility to your event needs and all of our wedding guests and family members left extremely happy! I’m atop the in-law family power rankings and it’s in large part due to this wonderful home!

Best weekend ever!
We stayed at the Bear Chase Manor from Friday-Monday and could not have had any better of an experience. The home is truly beautiful, the views, the space, the decor, the detail is so elegant and thought out. The pool was the hit of the weekend, it is massive and the hot tub is great for those cooler nights. Being walking distance to the brewery is so convenient for snacks, food, scenery, and things to do! We didn't get to use it but the bonfire pit came with plenty of wood to enjoy that as well. Truly the best trip, thank you so much Bear Chase!

Fun, chill setting next to a brewery
Super relaxing stay at Bear Chase Manor with friends and family. The brewery next door was great to have, and although it was closer than we were expecting (it's immediately adjacent to the property, less than 30 feet away), this is a convenient place to grab brews or a snack without going too far. The highlight of the property is the indoor pool, which was wonderful and highly enjoyed.

Some friends and I stayed at Bear Chase Manor for a long weekend and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the property, all of its amenities - the pool/hot tub, sauna, fire pit, deck with awesome views, and proximity to the brewery. Perfect Getaway
Lovely, spacious and nicely appointed home. Clean and comfortable. Amazing sunrise views off the deck. The indoor pool was fun and so convenient for our toddlers. A beautiful home! It is comfortable and offers wonderful views, you can do smores at the camp fire, swim all you want and the temp is great, TVs in all bedrooms. The location is wonderful if you want to get out and do some day trips.

I threw my spouse a large birthday party with some friends. This was the perfect rental! Very easy to set up catering or grab food from the brewery. The pool was great to beat the heat and stay away from bugs! Chris answered all of my questions and was very responsive.

Gorgeous house with stunning views
The house is beautiful and functional for a large group. The pool and living room are spectacular. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough for several people to work simultaneously. The deck has ample seating and great views of the brewery grounds and the valley below. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern. The bedroom over the garage, which has twin beds, is fine for kids but might be tight quarters for adults. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Our group of 12 had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

This was our third trip to this beautiful place. The rental was easy from booking through checkout. The property manager was quick to respond to the only issue we had, which turned out to be user error. He was very kind about that. Lots of upgrades this year make it even better. Love the upstairs bathroom and additional locks everywhere. The pool was great as usual, as was the brewery next door. There is a lot of room to spread out in the house, with the lowest level seeming like a small apartment on it's own. We brought our shy dogs and appreciated the side door where they could go without facing all the brewery crowd. We used the basketball and net this time. That was a nice activity that we hadn't done in a while. The kitchen seems to be well stocked this year too (with nice utensils as well as plates/glasses). The rear deck is breathtaking. We'll be back again next year, if not before.

The best get mountain away!
Bluemont is our happy place. We've been traveling down from Maryland for weekend getaways for a few years now and have always wanted to stay at Bear Chase Manor. We finally got the opportunity, and it was beyond worth it! The owners/property manager were more than accommodating, easy to communicate with, and so friendly and welcoming. The house is equipped with everything you could need and more. Everything was clean and even better than expected. The pool/hot tub was a huge hit. And you just can't beat the views. We are already planning when we can get back for a longer stay. Couldn't recommend it more!

Great Stay at Bear Chase Brewing
Our group of 12 adults loved our stay at Bear Chase Manor. We enjoyed being able to hop over to the brewery throughout the weekend and there are also many other wineries/breweries within a few minutes driving distance. A heads up for future guests, the room with 2 twins is not ideal for an adult couple as the only bathrooms on the that floor are ensuites attached to other bedrooms. We enjoyed the indoor pool but it did cause the whole house to smell of chlorine for those who are sensitive to smells (we got used to it fairly quickly). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend to future guests.

We entered the house and our first reaction was this is the lobby of a grand hotel. Three large fully decorated Christmas trees and dozens of poinsettia greeted us. Totally unexpected. The rest of the house was as expected. Lots of room, wonderful views and everyone loved the pool.

Fantastic Getaway
This property is exactly as advertised - an amazing mountain getaway with a heated indoor pool and lots of space for hosting, just an hour's drive from DC. Conditions and communication were all great. My guests had a fantastic time drinking Bear Chase's fresh bear on tap poolside in the dead of winter, as well as relaxing in the greatroom or by the firepit. Fantastic and unique property that I hope to return to!

Stayed here with 5 couples to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a chef come in Friday and prepare a meal which was awesome. House very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Being right at brewery was so convenient. Pool and hot tub were great temps, and also very clean. Can't wait to return! It's a gem of a property.
