It was a really great time for my family. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The backyard was perfect for our family's fun time. Good access to the beach and beautiful neighborhoods. Thanks for hosting us!
We took a weekend getaway at this cottage with my family. It was close enough to all the amenities, but far enough away that you could bypass the weekend traffic for the most part and just steps to the beach..location was perfect.
The place was clean and cozy with all your basic needs. The backyard set up was perfect for lounging and having a bonfire.
Hosts were readily available when we had any questions.
I would stay here again
We checked in for our long weekend stay and were very pleased with the cottage. It is spacious and the yard is very private. We enjoyed a BBQ with some friends and then relaxed around the propane firepit. Despite the rain, we still managed to enjoy the secluded beach we had to ourselves. The neighborhood is quite and only 6 minutes drive to the main area if you want excitement. I would recommend this place.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
We had a good time!
Location, area, responsiveness of host very good! We loved the area and location to the lake and downtown Grand Bend strip was perfect.
The place itself was lacking a few considerations. Kitchen linens and cutlery/utensils a little lacking. Also bathroom linens limited. The house was clean but the backyard had some old furniture and garbage. Overall satisfied but recommend a few more comforts! Thanks again for a good stay.
Very prompt communication with the host. The place was clean and fit our family (me, teenage boy, two nieces, sister and husband and our two dogs perfectly)Propane tank was replaced promptly and the water tank was repaired when hot water tank broke.Best part was the access to private beach! We loved it and will come back. Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Close to lake, house could use some upgrades. But still a comfy spot for a few people.
Great location, but quality of furnishings and linens was sub-par. A few items were close to empty, like dish soap and shower soap. Only 2 rolls of TP for 6 people over 4 days.
Private access to first row only, this cottage was in second row doesn’t have private access. We found spiders and web nets in the cottage. Host was good in responding but cottage needs good cleaning.
Patio furniture needs good cleaning as well.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
I wanted to rent a small cottage on a lake for my husband & a couple of our closest friends to celebrate my upcoming 50th birthday. Read reviews & thought this one would be nice. Lake views are only if you lookout the bedroom windows are certain way, row of cottages blocking it. Yes it's a 2min walk to the lake but if you're handicapped, good luck getting to it.I couldn't find anything in my emails about the key to access the inside. looked around for a key and checked the door. The doorknob was locked but doesn't latch. I had to clear a mop, used paper towels & a dirty mug from the sliding glass doors that also weren't locked to get out to the deck . This place was far from clean. One bed looked used already & dead bugs on it. One wasn't made. The 3rd was made but a blood stain at the bottom corner. We had rummage through bedding to find decent sheets & blankets to remake the beds. bathtub had dead bugs in it & clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. The fridge was dirty. The AC/ heater had a smell of burning hair. We flipped the cover and the filter was full of dirt, dust & spider webs. We didn't use the patio furniture cushions because they were covered in stains. A huge portion pf the deck was very flexible and you sunk down slightly with every step because it isn't built properly. The towels value village probably wouldn't even sell. For the price we paid for this place for 2 nights , it should have been cleaned & better quality towels/bedding.
