The room was very nice.. amazing view of the islands.. especially from the second deck.. this is a very cozy resort… I believe that there are fewer than 6 Room available.. Although there is no access to the Beach.. the view more than make up for that…guest services were excellent.. the owners, Herbie and Erica are amazingly.. Herbie is your Breakfast Cook and it is always perfection.. a large variety of breakfast choices… the pool was a beautiful.. wouldn’t hesitate to stay again…

Eleven out of ten. It's not often you get the perfect property in a unique location that feels like paradise. The welcome and attention we received from Herbie & Erika was first class. They genuinely are amazing hosts. The property is very clean and the attention to detail is first class. We loved the pool and relaxed atmosphere. The views from the infinity pool are amazing. In addition you are surrounded by wonderful wildlife. Even nature likes to visit the Eco Lodge or adjacent tree's , if you are talking Howler Monkeys. We will be back as it already feels like a home from home in Panama. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 11/10

This is a gem of a place! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The eco lodge is situated on the side of a hill with stunning views of the entire bay. The gorgeous infinity pool was perfect for the hot days we were there, it was immaculately clean and a perfect temp to cool off. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. It also had some nice extra amenities such as a mini fridge, kettle and a few treats. The breakfast each morning was really lovely, always with a delicious fruit salad, yogurt and then a full hot breakfast with eggs, sausage toast etc. The hosts, Erika and Herbie were extremely welcoming and easy going. Herbie kindly arranged and booked two amazing tours for us during our stay. One to Isla Secas which we highly recommend and a sunset cruise through the mangroves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!

This was an absolutely stunning property! The view was unparalleled! Erika and Herbie are lovely hosts and helped to make the stay very pleasant. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay here! If you love bird watching, listening to howler monkeys, eating delicious homemade breakfasts and sunning in an amazing infinity pool while staring at the Pacific ocean, then you will LOVE the Eco Lodge. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to get the chance to again!

From start to finish our stay was very lovely. It is definitely more like a bed-and-breakfast. You are staying in erika and Herbie’s beautiful home. Herbie cooks made to order delicious breakfast every morning with fresh coffee and fruit. The views are outstanding. We are so happy that we got to stay here. Thank you for having us.! I recommend doing the island tour. It was very relaxing with a beautiful white sand beach. I also recommend eating at La Costa. It was so delicious.

The property not only has breathtaking views but everything is immaculate and well maintained. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and this was the nicest bed and breakfast we’ve stayed in. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcomed and gave us the low-down on what to do and where to go in the area. They even booked an excursion for us. They treated us like royalty every morning by serving us a made to order breakfast. They work very hard at making sure everything is perfect for their guests. They have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. Not a detail is missed. We loved the pool. The water was the perfect temperature…refreshing but not too cold. We spent a lot of time relaxing there and admiring the views of the ocean and islands. I can’t say enough good things about Eco Lodge. It was more than just a place to stay. It was an amazing experience. It’s a great place to relax and get away. Thanks to Erika and Herbie for sharing their slice of heaven with us!

I had a great visit to Boca Chica Bay Eco Lodge in December 2018. The lodge is very nice with great views from all of the rooms. The hosts, Herbie and Erika are great with helping plan options for day trips. Herbie cooks a great breakfast each morning. Overall it was a great stay. I plan to return soon!

Fabulous stay !

We stayed 5 days at Herbie and Erika´s Eco Lodge. Right from the start, the view over Golfo de Chiriqui is breathtaking. The pool offers the same amazing view. It is a very quiet little hotel, perfect to relax and enjoy the area. Herbie cooks a tasty breakfast every morning. He’s a great story teller. Quite a character indeed ! Erika and Herbie were both very helpful to make sure we got the most out of our stay. We made boat tours in the islands and the mangroves with their help. In summary, a great experience for my wife and I in Boca Chica, thanks to the Eco Lodge, and their two lovely owners.

Beautiful quiet small venue surrounded by many species of plants and birds. Easy access to water activities at Boca Chica wharf. Several excellent restaurants. Best of all the innkeepers Erica and Herbie are very gracious and provide great breakfast each morning. This is a resort area under development by the local and national gov'ts so there were many areas of construction coming down from the PanAm highway as well as very rough side roads leading to this property and restaurants in the vicinity. This area is all built on a hillside with high elevations. A challenge for small cars -- larger vehicles, like SUVs or four wheel drive can make things more bearable.

They run a tight ship, everything is looked after with the utmost care and the communal breakfasts are very pleasant for folks who want to meet and converse with others whether traveling alone or with a companion. Views from the pool are spectacular (lots of lovely birds) and hosts were responsive when we messaged for info prior to arrival helped us arrange a tour in a matter of seconds. They were also incredibly considerate of our dietary needs and served a very hearty breakfast, encouraging us to eat well before our tour. Drinking water readily available at no extra cost. Air conditioning and hot water for showers were both great. If you like the idea of always present and attentive hosts watching over everything and anticipating every need and are willing to stay somewhere eco-friendly (which means reading and following rules) this is a fabulous option (excellent value!) We had a small rental car and that was all we needed to get up the hill to this property. We walked partway down the hill to dinner at the restaurant next door...one guest even did it (up and down) in crutches!
