The property itself is beautiful - quiet, peaceful, and perfect if you’re looking to relax and disconnect a bit. The room was in great shape and very comfortable. There's no direct beach access from the hotel, but right out front you'll find a surf spot. Even if you don't surf, watching the surfers battle the waves is oddly entertaining and a great way to spend time doing nothing (in the best way). The hotel offers a shuttle to a lovely sandy beach, which is a nice touch. Just a heads-up: the waves can be pretty intense, so swimming is mostly for the brave, the confident, or the slightly reckless. Last but definitely not least - the staff. Seriously amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind.

We'll be back, but...

While there is no beach on site, we had plenty to do. We truly enjoyed nature and the magical jungle within the hotel. This was our second visit and definitely coming back. The restaurant, is the only downer, very expensive, very limited choices and they bring you all the food at the same time, though we explained that we want this first that that later, the excuse was, kitchen prepares it this way and we have to bring it .... Now the SPA personnel are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating they go out of their way to accommodate your needs.

Wow! This resort is absolutely amazing! Bekar went above and beyond for us! He even brought in a TV to the lobby so we could watch the NHL playoff game! Food is 10/10 as well. We will definitely go back!

The Hotel is beautiful with a great location. We spent three nights and we have dinner the three nights, I recommend more options for the menu and also offer night specials, more drinks options as well maybe happy hour specials, our last dinner the tuna wasn’t good (no fresh) we still enjoy our wine, entrances and deserts.

This location is beautiful. The staff had a sense of calm and kindness that welcomed us upon arrival and upon departure. Deep tissue massage from Kim was perfect and the morning yoga was challenging enough to make me feel like I wasn’t being lazy on vacation.

Zensational, the settings spare no detail, since arrival you are treated as the most important person in the island. Adriana provided the surfboard, Luciano, John & Carolina therapeutical massages. Terrible road to get to the resort. Be prepared - the road urgently needs to be paved. Resort is beautiful and restaurant was pretty good. Had to send one order back due to fish being old/fishy tasting. Really irritated to have music played at the pool. Trying to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean and instead there was constant bass/dance music being played. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, where possible.

This is thee sexiest, most serene and stunning hotel with amazing amenities and wonderful staff. Angie at reception was so attentive, she checked up on us even when we were gone for the day, made great bookings and recommendations- was super pleasant and funny, Winston was kind and helpful- so we’re the other male staff Spa staff was so comforting and Nana gave the best Thai massage. Yoga was fantastic and i will absolutely be back

A new property with a new concept that takes relaxation to new heights and allows for Mother Nature to overwhelm a guest with its majesty. While Playa Bluff is within a mile’s walk, this Balinese/Polynesian experience is very realistic and would challenge any 5-star resort on the Hawaiian islands (minus native traditions and common luau’s rituals). La Coralina is a true island gem and a must-see for the exigent vacationer placing RELAXATION second to none. Cannot wait to be back to unburden more stress.

Gorgeous spa hotel nestled in an amazing Panamanian jungle surrounded by wildlife. A lot of thought and effort has gone into designing this hotel to make it a tranquil oasis for anyone looking to escape the modern world. Spa facilities were beautiful and the food was of incredible quality. An improvement this hotel could make however is the staff attitude (which at times felt less friendly then it could be) towards helping customers and the timeliness. Things to be aware of: the hotel rooms do not have televisions or sound systems - that’s presumably intentional as this is meant to be an escape. The road to the hotel is bumpy and unkept due to proximity to the sea.

Serene Gem!

What a gem! This is such a beautiful resort! Such a quiet, serene atmosphere. And the spa space up the hill is just beyond amazing. The staff were sweet and very responsive; all we had to do to get a taxi to or from is contact them on WhatsApp. The rooms were comfortable and nice. The food was delicious! Try the lamb tortellini! The only negative is the really rough road to get there. Hopefully they will be fixing that soon. Also, the owner had a big party at the resort on one of the nights we were there. Music was blasting til 1:00am which made it very hard to sleep. :(

The hotel try to give us better room and moved us to a vila , beautiful room beautiful view , but not stream water in the bathroom, In the dining room no verity of food , very slow slow slow services , . No magnified mirror, no body cream offered. Poor condition of pool towels .

This property exceeded my expectations. When I checked in I felt like I had been transported to Bali which is one of my favorite vacay locations. The Ocean view room was one of the best room views I have ever had. Food at the hotel was amazing. And this property was definitely walkable. Up the street you can walk to the hotel beach club, Ohanas, and Skully. The property is so beautiful I did not want to leave. The infinity pool over looks the beautiful ocean and watch the waves crash daily while relaxing on their pool deck hammocks was top tier. The staff and all amenities were amazing. I partook in spa treatments to include relaxing in their sauna. Now this sauna is amazing as it has a window that looks out toward the forest. This place is truly magical. You are a 15/20 min ride into Bocas town, but they make transportation so accessible that this was not an issue at all. I love this resort and can’t wait to visit again.

I can’t say enough positive things about this property. I will start by saying this is the most beautiful hotel ever. Of course it is visually appealing, but the staff is who make this hotel successful. From the moment I arrived to the second I left I was treated with nothing but kindness. The girls that work the breakfast, the manager at the front, and the bar staff were nothing short of amazing. The food and drinks were suburb. I stayed for my birthday, my friend with the help of the staff planned a 5 corse dinner menu for me. Every single person said happy birthday. The spa and their staff were amazing. I got the Thai massage and the facility and treatment rooms were beautiful. I could literally go on and on. If you are debating on booking this property do yourself a favor and don’t.

The property is huge. The pictures do not give justice to the size and beauty of the resort. There are trails through the jungle you can walk. Probably about 2 miles combine of walkable trails. This is all on the property so it is kept and safe. The spa pool, sauna, cold water dip hole all for the enjoyment of all the guests (no extra charge). The massages, the massages!!! We really recommend them. The birds, monkeys and we do not even know the name of the fauna, are right there for you to see and hear. The food is really good and creatively presented. All of the service staff is very friendly and helpful. We ate there for six days and only got bored with the food at the very end. The resort has a bar at the little beach across the road. They also have a bar at the bluff beach with free shuttle back and forth. Now about the people there. Best waiter - Baker, even though everyone deserves a medal. He promised us a different menu when we come back. Best hostess - Nina, even though everyone was exceptional but she really shone. One thing though and this is for the management - the pillows really and we mean really suck. I felt like Fred Flintstone in the morning. Also, we noticed signs of lack of attentiveness to the general areas aesthetics. Still minor but we hope it is not a trend. This is a very good resort and we highly recommend it. We will be back.

La Coralina Island House is a gorgeous property less than 3 years old, featuring beautiful Balinese style architecture, decor and landscaping. In comparison to other accommodations in Bocas del Toro, this is a huge property in acreage, with a water garden, meandering forest pathways, and multiple rooms and suites tucked privately around the resort. Clearly, the hotel designer/architect put meticulous thought into the creation of this luxury getaway. In November, there were only a few other guests, and there was no issue with access to seating, loungers, and amenities. In fact, we often were the only ones in the pools. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and spacious. The rain shower was huge, but could be improved by adding more shelving for shower products and adding a shower wand. The hotel provides free transport to and from the ferry/airport terminal. The hotel also provides transport to their own beach bar located on Playa Bluff 25 min away. The shuttle comes every 2 hours or so, but it would be nice to run more frequently. Playa Bluff is beautiful, but waves can be rough, so it is not amenable for swimming for everyone. There were a few minor downsides: 1. The hotel is not located near many other restaurants, and is not within easy walking distance to town. 2. The luxury facilities come with luxury prices for food and drink, though the quality was good. 3. The service needs some polish. There were a lot of trainees. La Coralina is a beautiful hotel if you want to be far from everything and relax in the middle of the jungle. If you are experienced you can also surf in the area. There is no beach nearby, you have to get a taxi to go any beach and the closest one is 15/20 minutes by car. The road to get there is in really bad conditions so it’s not a good location if you want to come and go to the town, which is 25 minutes by car. The amenities are beautiful, they offer yoga classes and meditations and the food in both restaurants is delicious. I was obsessed with the decoration of the dishes and the attention from the servers. I think they have a lot of potential and it’s sad that they don’t pay too much attention to the details, when we got to our room there was no water to drink or soap in the bathroom and the shower was broken so we had to ask for them to move us to a different room in the middle of our stay. If you stay at the hotel and you want to go Playa Estrella I highly recommend going to bocas town and taking a boat from there instead of going by car. It’s more expensive and it takes longer. They don’t explain this at the reception of the hotel, which would be nice for them to do! They don’t offer any free transportation to Bocas town or to the beach and I think it would be nice for them to offer this considering their location. The breakfast is great and I really liked all the activities. We also had a therapy massage with an ocean view and I highly recommend it.
