Horrible
Probably one of the worst stays I had in a long time. The room was freezing due to malfunction of the AC, internet barely working, no outlet in the bathroom, phone broken and furniture dusty snd out-dated. The staff was friendly and tried their best, but I would still not come back.

Ideal place
This hotel was ideally placed for our weekend football break. It is set in pretty parkland in a nice part of Bochum. Central for the local attractions. Good staff and excellent breakfast available. Bochum itself is a nice town with very good nightlife in the Bermuda Triangle.

Great hotel and great staff
Stayed here for business for 12 days. The staff was very friendly and spoke English which was a plus. The park setting was also a very nice place to unwind after a day of work.

Lovely, quiet, clean, posh hotel
Normally this hotel would be out of my price range, but I got a great price on this hotel through hotels.com. The room was extremely clean, the decor was nice, everything was in good working order and the beds were comfy. The staff was exceptionally nice (including in the restaurant) and all spoke English well. The restaurant food was good and not overpriced (I had dinner twice, but not breakfast, so I can't speak about breakfast). The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. It's one U-Bahn stop from the main station and downtown Bochum, so I spent something like 8 Euro getting a taxi from the station. I would not recommend taking the Bochum U-Bahn to the hotel if you have heavy bags, as there are stairs at the U-Bahn station and it's a bit of a walk from there to the hotel. The U-Bahn runs every 15 minutes or so, Bochum is not Berlin.

NO ROOM SERVICE! Two star pretending to be four star
This claims to be a four star hotel but there is zero room service, as I found out the morning I was leaving for the airport and needed to eat something and have coffee while I packed. Ended up going to the train station on an empty stomach, under-caffeinated.... Apparently this lack is a policy of "Courtyard" Marriotts, as they told me, but Hotels.com should NOT list this as a four star hotel. Room was nice though small, sauna/gym really minimalist by German standards. The standout thing is the location in the park, near major museums as well as a metro stop. But little food or shops nearby.

A very nice and clean hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights and had nothing to complain about. Food was good, Rooms were good, Service was very friendly. I would come back anytime. Very good situation, you can do everything by foot.

This hotel is a good hotel, services were great, next to the central park and employees are polite, too clean and it realy deserve's its 4 stars, however the minibar is empty, you should put the do not disturb sign on the door if you want to sleep in the morning or you will get the punctual cleaning lady every 30 minutes! Too clean and quite!! Deserve's its 4 stars

My booking was for three people and it means that I have paid for three persons. But at time of check out I was charges Euro 15,00 for extra bed. Also at the time of check in I was informed at the reception that breakfast is included in the room tariff. I have asked the same again because it was not mentioned in my booking. The person at reception confirmed me again that breakfast is included here. But I was charged Euro 57,00 at time of check out. If I knew about the breakfast charges then I might be not take the breakfast. Also the charges for extra bed is not fair as its already mentioned in the booking for three persons and there is not mentioned anywhere in the booking that charges for extra bed will be charges seperately.

Very decent hotel located in a pleasant residential area of Bochum next to a park A bit out of the way but a reasonable taxi ride into the centre Breakfast was good; didnt eat in the restaurant for dinner so cannot comment Staff helpful and pleasant Had to pay for wifi which annoyed me

Room was comfortable and a good size. It had a good desk area for working although disappointed that I had to pay to connect to the wifi network. Bed was comfy and shower was good. Buffet breakfast was quite good. Would stay there again.

Expensive Breakfast!!
This is a very nice hotel across from a park near the Planetarium. However, there is nowhere close by to eat and the breakfast buffet was VERY expensive. However, it was very comfortable, clean, and well kept with a friendly staff. It even had a bathtub! I would stay again (but stop off at a bakery or grocery store first - they had a fridge in the room.)

excellent business hotel on Bochum
This hotel should make the US Courtyardsblush with shame. I habe stayed here multiple times. However this hotel is not near any airport and area traffic is at times not easy. The road network is good and staying away from the autobahn using a good gps allows for easy driving. Although hoteks.com says the internet is included it isn't and it is pricey. So is the breakfast. Other than that it is excellent. Bring your own powerplugs

Fantastic breackfast. But too expencive, it was better if it was incl in the price of the room. Also no free internet on the room, it was better if it was incl in the price of the room. The Fitness room was fine, and the sauna area very nice.

Stadtpark Marriott is an excellent property, managed by a an expert and motovated team. Our stay was excellent - the rooms were big enough to accommodate three persons in each room and to our pleasant surprise, were already set up with three beds before our arrival (which wasnt the case at some other hotels that we stayed in during this trip).

Great Value
Our stay was wonderful, it was great value as the breakfast was included in the rate and we booked via a cashback website which added to the value. the breakfast was excellent and served until 11am. Wonderful view of the park which made the hotel very quiet and peaceful. 10 minute walk into town through the park and a 5 minute walk to Starlight Express! Well proportioned room for the price too - we had a 3rd bed for our daughter and there was plenty of room for it. Lovely range of toiletries in the bathroom too! Can't fault our stay and we would stay there again!
