"We really enjoyed our stay at snowdonia mountain lodge.
Location was great with amazing views on mountains surrounding the accomodation and nearby town that had everything we needed.
We mainly stayed there to climb Snowdon which was not very far and we were lucky to have a great weather to do this.
We stayed in en-suite family room which had everything we needed and was exactly as described and pictured on the website. The room was very clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and there was a kettle, cups and plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets.
There was a communal kitchen and dining room nearby which was handy although it would be really nice to have a mini fridge in the room especially in the hot weather we recently had.
Parking was brilliant as it was just outside our room/bungalow entry.
The staff at the site were really friendly and helpful. We were shown around the site when we arrived and they recommended places to see which was nice.
The booklet in room was very informative as well and had great recommendations.
Coffee at nearby camp site was amazing.
The accomodation itself has a really good feel to it. The atmosphere is really peaceful. We stayed there three nights but that was enough for us relax and recharge. We felt really good in there and we would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Snowdonia.
Thank you to all staff at the site for a great stay."
"It’s a little bit of a hike into the town center. Apparently there was some room renovations going on, so the lobby was full of stacked chairs. Two dogs were ensconced on a couple of the chairs, so the lobby smelled like dog and there was hair all over the carpet."
"Lovely old character building but in need of repairs and upgrades. Employees helpful. Minimal breakfast and no place to eat even though the hotel is large. No restaurants nearby."
"Great view of the pier from our generously sized double room. Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel has car parking for around 10 cars, there was always a space available for us here. There was also free on street parking nearby but very few spaces available. Lovely 15 min walk up the cliff road to upper Bangor. Probably about a 20 min walk into the main town centre."
"For a taste of the past this grand hotel has all the features. Sitting room with big comfy couches, opposite the pier and a few mins walk from the castle. The room was good (we had least expensive)the bath enormous ( shower above) maybe one too many chairs but slept well and breakfast excellent. The restaurant was also very good in the evening and the Bull’s head the other night can be recommended."
"First of all, the landlady was really lovely, and she cooked a great breakfast (not included, but not expensive)
The rooms are above a fun pub, with a friendly atmosphere.
My room was Very spacious. The water was hot, shower good & there was Liquid hand soap & body wash provided. A Kettle is provided with tea & coffee.
The Hote/pub is Right next to Bangor station, with regular buses that run into town, or a 20 minute walk. There was a car park next door too.
But the room was pretty tatty, and in desperate need of a lick of paint & some tlc.
The bed wasn’t very comfortable, with a thin but sweaty synthetic duvet, & thin pillows.
There is no fan or aircon, but the windows open onto the outside seating area and a very busy road so very noisy if opened.. they are double glazed though, so they do shut out a lot of noise when closed
The pub plays music inside & outside - fairly loudly (there is actually a speaker outside), although it is turned off later in the evening.
Last gripe.. the cups provided were tiny, and there wasn’t enough milk."
"Not worth the money at all! Room and hallways were dirty, there was no toilet paper in our room, and lots of things were broken. Just felt really, really old and poorly maintained. Tiny room.
Part of why we chose this was due to the breakfast photos on google, that look amazing. So disappointed! It was a buffet, but a really sad one. Poor choices, and didn't look nice. We skipped out as quickly as we could"
