Well, what can I say. The apartment was in a very nice location. The stores around the corner and mall a few blocks away were convenient.
The apartment itself. It needs updating. First in VRBO the apartment is listed with a 3pm check in. Only to arrive at the apartment at 3:52pm and have security say we needed to wait 10 minutes. Apparently, the needed to call the owner of the apartment to come unlock it or give us the door scan tag.
Upon her arrival at 4:16pm, she was not very welcoming. And honestly seemed put out to even have to come to let us in.
Entering the apartment you can see that the cleaning fee that you are charged upon your stay is not being taken advantage of for the amount of dust that was on the lights and sofas.
I have stayed at many different hotels and rental apartments. What I can recommend to this owner is maybe have some bathroom soap. And an additional garbage bag or 2 for your guests.
The balcony lock didn't lock was broken. A lamp in the master bedroom was malfunctioning as well.
The apartment was advertised with hot water. Which in Bogota this is very important because it is always cold there.
The master bedroom shower did not produce any hot water. So, it was the secondary bathroom that is what we all were forced to use.
With the bathroom the hot water would run for roughly 90 seconds. After the 90 seconds the water would run ice cold. So, you would have to turn the water off. Then turn it right back on to get the hot water to return. But, waiting for it to reheat while ice cold water is flowing from the hot water side. You standing there freezing waiting and praying for the hot water. Hope you take very short showers.
All communications about this apartment is with a representative named Gio.
For the most part, nice guy. Mostly informative. Answered the majority of the questions asked of him.
But he lost all credit with me when I messaged him the first morning of arrival about the hot water. And I did not ever receive a reply back.
It took me to send an additional message thanking him for his non-reply and help with the ice cold shower for him to finally respond the day before we were to check out of the apartment. So, that's 4 days with 1 semi-working shower.
Normally, someone would have been sent out to take a quick look at the issue. But his response was for me to play with the dials on the heater.
No thanks, not going to be responsible for the heater if it were to magically break if I touched it.
