"This place felt more like a motel room than a cabin, but it was bigger and quieter than a typical motel room. We didn’t try cooking anything in the kitchen space or even making coffee, so we can’t rate those amenities. Although there’s not much to do within walking distance, the cabin served as a clean, comfortable home base for our time in the Old Forge area. We would stay there again."

"Lovely off-grid cabin to relax and enjoy all the wonders of nature including solitude and wildlife in a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere away from busy everyday life! Host was quick to respond to questions and offered local suggestions for seeing the spectacular colors of Autumn in the Adirondacks! Would definitely stay here again!!"

"The exterior of the building was pretty rough, with weeds and a defunct/decrepit section that used to be a Denny's. I was dreading what I was going to find in my room but the room and bathroom itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. The air conditioner worked. The TV did not work."

"John is a wonderful host, helpful and accommodating. Spent 2 nights with 3 of my closest friends. The main comment to describe the main house was, "grandma's camp." (Rustic but homey) The ammentities really made the stay fun, set in a wooded landscape on the lake. The house was clean for the most part. The owner counts on the previous renters to clean the house, all the appliances, including the grill before leaving. We left the toaster oven, trash can and outdoor grill cleaner than we found it."

"The location ON the Moose River was gorgeous but the cottages are VERY close so it was a little noisy. The decorations on the grounds for Halloween were adorable! It was difficult to learn how to operate the TV and the heaters (it was cold in the mornings). There were no instructions left to run either item and when we called the number listed, we could only leave a message but nobody called us back. We had to wait till the next day when the office was open ..then someone came right away. The shower was NOT spotless, and the floors weren't super clean. The main bedroom was ok but the bunks in the bunk room were small and not so clean under the mattresses. There was only ONE small area to hang clothes. They left no cleaning supplies or paper towels to clean before we left."
