Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, accommodation was excellent surroundings fine and a most agreeable host who gave us a tour of the vineyard winemaking and local points of interest. Definitely recommend it
Lovely spacious traditional home. Incredibly well equipped. Pool was lovely and the children also enjoyed the table tennis, volleyball and the bikes. The host was very friendly and patient with the kids. Really informative about the local area. We would definitely come again.
Fantastic weekend in a wonderfully authentic French farmhouse, only sad not to have spent more time here to explore the vineyard and sample the wines. Thanks to Andrea, a great host!
Property is well equipped in beautiful grounds, Jean Luis was very helpful and gave a really interesting tour of his vineyard and the wine making process with a tasting of all his wines

Peaceful Setting
This property is in a quiet location based on a working vineyard. The property is approx a 30 min easy drive from Bordeaux airport. When we arrived the property did not disappoint. It was as described online. The kitchen is well furnished with all utensils and equipment. The living area is spacious, clean and comfortable. The stairs to the upper floor separates the 2 areas. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean.
Jean-Louis and Nola were always on hand if required but not intrusive. Jean-Louis has a wide knowledge of the area and helped us plan areas to visit. The property is within easy reach of St Emillion, Sauternes and many other wine producing areas. If you want good wine then try the produce of Jean-Louis. Each Sunday you can purchase fresh oysters in the village, goes down well with Jeans produce. The Village is a 10 min easy walk and there are various bigger shops within 20 mins drive.Loose yourself in the countryside its relaxing. If you enjoy photography like me then you have a choice of quiet villages, chateaus or Bordeaux itself.
There were many elements which made this an enjoyable holiday. If I am in this area again I will stay at this property again.

Relaxing family friendly holiday
We spent a lovely week in this traditionally furnished farmhouse, set in a large estate and working vineyard. The pictures are a very acurate representation of the house. The house, especially the kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The pool was well maintained and child friendly. The availability of cycles for the entire family was very welcome. Our host, John-Louis was extremely helpful in guiding us about what to do in the surrounding area. We enjoyed his wine tour which was followed by a wine tasting of his produce. The location was convenient as a base for day trips to places like St Emilion and Bordeaux. A car is necessary to enjoy the region. The only downside is that there was not much to see or do in the local villages. We would recommend this house to those looking for a quiet base to have a relaxing holiday and for those interested in wine tasting experiences.

Beautiful stay, would highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! Jean-Louis and Nola were fantastic hosts, organising us a taxi from Bordeaux airport to the property due to our late night arrival, and ensuring we had everything we needed for a fantastic week.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful! Extremely spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. It is surrounded by amazing vineyards and a large garden area. The swimming pool is also perfect for a relaxing week in the sun!
The setting of the property is completely idyllic, just a short walk / bike ride away from the local supermarket and bakery. We did not have a car for our stay and so used the bus to get into Bordeaux for a couple of day trips. The bus stops just outside the property and really easy to use! We also made great use of the bicycles available at the property to explore the immediate local area.
We would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying again at some point in the future! Massive thank you for Jean-Louis and Nola!!

Beautiful property, very high standard, really well equipped and great hosts.
My wife and two of our children were lucky enough to pick this property for our week away at the end of August. I honestly can’t think of a thing that was wrong with the entire experience. The welcome was excellent, the information provided by the host both in relation to the region and the property were only outshone by the wonderful, honest and interesting wine tour and tasting experience provided. We would recommend this to any family looking to relax l, have easy access to the enormous amount of activities and beautiful countryside and enjoy getting to understand more about the world of wine. My daughter never wanted to leave and all the family said this was the best holiday ever. A simple recipe of a great and well equipped property and an interested and interesting host. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt welcome the entire time. In honesty we have very little French between us and have always worried about how people react to this but this was never an issue for our host and we thank them the more for it.
Thank you for a great holiday and we hope to return as soon as we can.

Fabulous Family house in Saint Capraix de Bordeaux!!!
We were in Saint Capraix de Bordeaux for one week in July in this fantastic house. The house is wonderful, splendid, comfortable and have all you could need. It is an ancient family house with big windows, a lot of light at home, with so much space to enjoy inside.
Through the windows you can see the vineyards. Is very beatiful!! You can know their vineyards and their vins.
The owners are very, very kind, nice and friendly with us!!
We took bikes to go to the little village and swam in the swimmingpool.
My family and I really enjoyed in this house! May be next summer we will return!!

A Rare Gem!
We were looking for an authentic farmhouse and La Magnolia lived up to to all our expectations. There was more than ample space for a family of 4 with our 2 teenage children each having their own room. The property is well presented and looks out over a grassy area and on to the vineyard. Location wise it was ideal being just a short drive to Bordeaux and about 90 minutes to the Atlantic coast.
And then there are the owners Jean-Louis and Nola. What fantastic hosts! Jean-Louis was always available to answer questions about the area, good local restaurants, market days, family activities such as wind surfing, canoeing and cycling and everything that only local knowledge can provide. And to cap it all, there was the tour of the vineyard, the wine making process and a tasting. We are not wine buffs but the wine was first class! Its also available to buy, so we did and are still enjoying it now we're back in the UK.
