Nice large hotel
This is a very nice large hotel that can host bus groups. Very clean and high standards. We ate dinner at another restaurant so do not know how crowded the dining room was. At breakfast, there were a lot of people but they had enough sitting as they opened up a separate room. I would stay here again.

Great size room for our family. Very quiet and clean. Beds were comfortable. Close to restaurants and ocean. Nice breakfast and staff.

This place far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the quad with our kids and had plenty of space and everything we needed. It was a great locale for driving to Snefellus peninsula. Highly recommend!

Dear Anonymous guest,It's very hard to debate anything with someone who doesn't identify themselves.Perhaps if you would be open to show yourself at the time, we could've managed to make your stay more pleasant.We don't say anywhere in our description that we provide kettles and although our hotel has been standing for over 50 years, all rooms have been renovated over the years so this comment is untrue.Best regardsHotel Borgarnes - Lobby

Clean and good location
The room was clean and the shower was good. The mattress was pretty hard and the is no fridge or coffee in the rooms.

The hotel is ok if a bit out-dated. The room where breakfast is served is a large conference room from the 1960’s, not very appealing. it is comfortable and clean though.

The conference room is actually since 1980 and renovation of that is high on our priority list. Most hotels that were built in Icelandic towns during that time served as community centers for their towns as well. Loved this stay. We arrived very early from the airport, the manager got us in the room within a few minutes. I could not be more appreciative! Excellent stay and breakfast. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Borganas area!

Nice hotel with large triple room
A nice regular hotel which isn't always the norm in Iceland. We booked a triple room and it was the largest room in our trip. Very ample. The bathroom wasn't the biggest but no issue. There weren't a lot of apparent restaurants in the area. So tired at the end of the day we just eat at the hotel. The meal at the restaurant was nice (and expensive as per Iceland) and so was the breakfast buffet. Key drop-off check out. So no time waste. Overall a very pleasant experience as it appeared we were one of the few guests staying at the hotel at the time can't talk about how it would work in busier non-covid times.

We stayed in a building across the road from the hotel which was newly renovated. Rooms are fairly spacious and clean. Breakfast was standard cold meats and cheese with the usual continental options. Plenty of parking and a quick drive to the centre of town for food and groceries. Friendly and helpful staff.
