Private Casita w/ Lounge Pool + Desert Views

Anza Haus is a modern Southwest inspired home minutes from the Anza Borrego State Park trail systems. Enjoy views of Glorietta Canyon and San Ysidro Mountains, complete with your private lounge pool. The house borders the Galleta Meadows Sculpture park, offering direct walking access to the eagle and dinosaur sculptures which makes for a lovely evening stroll straight from the backyard!

The space
We hope that this home ensures a fun and relaxing trip to Anza Borrego desert. Please read these extra details about our home so you know what to expect!

General Items - Free Fast WiFi (80Mbps), central A/C & heating with smart controls. The main entrance has a wifi enabled smart lock for ease of access for our guests.

Kitchen - Fully equipped, cooking basics, dishware, pool cups, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee, tea, knife set, cooking bowls, colander, measuring cups, basic spices, oil, trash bags, paper towels.

Living Room - 66" Roku TV with Apple Airplay. We have a large full sized framed map of Anza Borrego State Park in the entryway to help plan your trips.

Pool - Note our pool is 3.5ft deep. It is perfect for wading, floating, or just for quickly cooling off. Unfortunately, we cannot heat our pool but the temperature generally stays above 80F May through September. We have a weekly pool service, but dirt and leaves can enter the pool especially if windy. We have a pool net available for guests to scoop out any unwanted debris.

** At this time we do NOT have a safety gate around the pool, it is the guests responsibility to ensure that children are monitored at all times in the pool area. **

Backyard - We have a small wood burning chiminea, palo verde tree for morning shade, multiple native desert plants, and a decorative wall that allows for full privacy from neighbors when enjoying the pool area.

Parking - The driveway holds up to 4 vehicles and we have RV/Trailer parking around back

Extra Mattress - There is an extra full size trifold mattress stored in the bedroom closet, this may be used for 2 guests but you are responsible for bringing your own sheets for this mattress.
Guest access
Guess will have full access to the main house, breezeway area, backyard and front yard. The garage is closed off to guests.

A desert gem

This desert casita allows the ultimate desert experience. We love that it is 4 miles out of town where we enjoyed the quiet of the desert. The Southwest style of the house, comfortable beds and furniture, and thoughtful desert decor all lend to immersing ourselves in this amazing land. We thought the hot tub a bit small for four people, but enjoyed it with two or three people. Ben is a most attentive host, communicating quickly with us when we had questions. We would return to this casita in a heartbeat.

Wonderful location for relaxing in Borrego Springs

We had a wonderful time at the Anza Haus, loved the home and it was a great location for restaurants and stores in Borrego Springs, as well as for access to the huge Anza Borrego State Park. For desert lovers, there are so many amazing places to visit. The town has good restaurants and interesting art and stores - great to see privately owned businesses are the normal here! The house is clean and was spacious for the two of us, and could easily accommodate 4+. Decor is nice, loved the outdoor area with pool and spa! Everything is in good condition, comfortable and plenty of suitable space for cooking, storing things, and relaxing. Note that there is no laundry so plan accordingly. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I took a couple of telescopes and had beautiful views of the night skies from the back yard.

Perfect solo getaway!

I loved it here, I will definitely be back. Next time I'll bring my own pool floats since there weren't any provided by the host, but the pool is fantastic. Excellent, remote, private, quiet, clean. AC worked great. Strong wifi. I loved the pour over coffee station, that's my favorite way to brew coffee. If you're unfamiliar with that method, I'd recommend bringing instant coffee. I'd also recommend bug spray for any outdoor time, the bugs were intense at times. The local market is small and expensive. But they have the basics. There are no major chain stores (Target, Walgreens, etc.) so plan accordingly.

Lovely house with beautiful views.

Great house with awesome views in quiet neighborhood. Location wonderful as a base to explore Anza Borrego State Park and Borrego Springs. Clean and well stocked. Cute , private pool, but a little too chilly to use in mid March due to cool nights. Owner very responsive to our questions.

This was a girls vacation, just me and my 23 year old daughter. We loved the stay. Everything is just as beautiful as it is in the pictures. The house was very clean. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was a 10 out of 10 for us. We would love to stay here again. We traveled to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. It is about 1:45-2:00 hours to get there so not a bad drive at all. We explored the area. We were in a front wheel drive vehicle. I would suggest 4 wheel drive if you like to explore the trails. The sand can be very loose is some places. The night skies are beautiful for star watching, if even right from the hot tub. We definitely want to go back some day.
