Colette, our terrific host, provided warm hospitality, ideas of places to visit and excellent homemade sugar cookies. The farm dogs made sure we were extra welcome. "Our stay exceeded all expectations. Tom, the owner could not of been any nicer or helpful. The cottage was well stocked. Food markets in Tipperary were close and convenient. The cottage and garden are stunning. We highly recommend staying in the cottage if you are looking for a fairytale. When we first arrived the cottage was hard to find at night, but a quick call and Tom was out with a flashlight to guide us in. What a great host."

"The village of Silvermines is nestled on the side of Keeper mountain in a gorgeous valley with the amenities of Nenagh a quarter hour away by car and the beauty of Lough Derg and the Shannon River also very nearby. We were comfortable in the spacious two storey apartment and had ready access to some really lovely parts of the country."

"The house has a very nicely supplied kitchen and the beds we’re comfortable. There are two double beds and one twin, not three doubles. There are three bathrooms, but only one has a stand up shower. One has no shower and one has a handheld shower wand. We had no hot water for our 1-night say, which was really unfortunate, given it was quite warm and we’d all walked a bunch and needed to clean up."
