"Lovely bungalow with a secure garden for the children to play out in. The location is perfect, really quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind in the countryside. Easy access to lots of stunning places to visit. The bungalow is well equipped with everything you may need and Mary the host is lovely, helpful and welcoming. Thank you Mary!"

"Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. "

"We had a party of 15 family and friends for a special get together over a long weekend. Fabulous property with lots of rooms, lots of space and very well appointed kitchen. The directions to the property could provide a little more detail to warn of the very long, climbing road up and over the hill. It feels like you are on the wrong road and suddenly you see the property in the valley beyond. Worth preserving !"

"Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride."

"Holly Cottage is a well equipped cottage, with everything you could need, in a very typical pretty Yorkshire village. "Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits.
