"We had stained bedding and furniture. The floors were not completely cleaned from the apparent glitter party that took place by the prior guests. The ac didn't work when we went in and had to get maintenance to come up and fix it."

"Location was amazing! Close to everything and walkable. Parking is only valet. Or you can park yourself off site. Hotel is clean. Staff are friendly and very Accommodating. Only issue was the plumbing. Sink and tub Slow to drain and toilet as well. But all in all great place to stay! 2 min walk to Forld field and Comerica Park! And Greek town 5 min walk for fabulous food! "

"Unfortunately, we experienced several issues with the room that were disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. To start, they asked us to check in 30 minutes late to ensure cleanliness. Once we showed up we learned it was because a staff cleaner lost her phone and assumed it was in our room. (It wasn’t). So she had to go in ahead of us to find it while we stood there. Next, the windows were extremely dirty and had spider webs, the shower leaked badly onto the bathroom floor during use, and the bed supports appeared to be broken, which made the bed uncomfortable and unstable. At no fault of the hotel, once dusk hit, there were hundreds of people on the streets and at the 711 attached to the building. This happened both nights and we stayed there. By 8 pm there were medal detectors on the streets. One of which was outside the door to the entrance of the hotel. Spent most of our evenings watching the commotion outside. There was an extreme amount of police presence the whole time though. I believe it was precautionary. I highly recommend visiting the city which is beautiful and welcoming during the day only. Night time it turned into another world and I also recommend to leave children at home. It’s just not a family friendly area. I understand that issues can happen, but these problems affected our overall experience and are the reason we likely would not return."
