The apartment was in a perfect location and was in good shape. It would have benefited from a full length mirror and more storage space for clothes and shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. Otherwise it had everything you need. The café table in the kitchen was broken and wobbly. We reported this but it was not repaired during our stay.

DO NOT BOOK! 1) No elevator and the apartment is on the 5th floor. 2) The windows are permanently sealed and the apartment stinks of mould. 3) only two 40ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner for 7 nights’ stay. 4) The communication is horrible- I called to ask about the windows and for 40 minutes on the phone I was reassured that it was my fault that I was too weak to open them. Two long calls later and two days later a “caretaker” came to check and (surprise) the windows were sealed permanently. 5) despite all the above, they charged me 47 dollars for checking out at 2pm. Save your backs, save your money, save your peace of mind. Don’t book this.

Beautiful little spot to stay in the heart of old Boston. It is a basement/ground level studio so everyone could see in but it isn't too busy of a street, and there are big shutters inside that close when you want more privacy. When we arrived we couldn’t figure out how to use the lock which led to some confusion and frustration at first, but you just have to place your entire palm over the lock screen. Not very intuitive in my opinion but we figured it out. Overall a great stay especially for the price.

Property was clean, had everything I needed for a short stay and was easy to access. The only thing is that the photos show it to be bright and sunny when in fact the apartment was in the back of the building and looked out onto an interior courtyard. So you had to keep the shades drawn for privacy. Even with the shades open there was little to no natural light.

Great location and lovely apartment, would have been handy to know there was no lifts and the stairs were a challenge with suitcases to the 5th floor. Communication not great, took 2 days to reply about an earlier check-in with the answer as no.

The location is unbeatable, easy walking to some of Boston's best tourist sites and T stops. We loved the keyless entry and easy text communications about check-in/check out details. Our apt had just the right amount of supplies for what we wanted to do. There is zero parking, but we knew that going in and chose not to rent a car while we were in town, which worked out fine.

Nice place with no elevator and 5 floors!
This place was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but the furniture in the living room was not. The television advertised it had digital channels and streaming. It had chrome cast which I didn't know had nothing on it unless you had a streaming app on your phone or computer that you could cast it to the tv. Thankfully we had Netflix, but we had no access to any news. If you had any issues you could call the number and they would take care of the problem. The first day we had no wash cloths, but they delivered them later that day. Another issue I had was there was no elevator. It is listed on the website, but they bury it down and you don't see that unless you hit the read more button. I feel they should be more up front about that and put it at the top. We were on the 5th floor, so we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs everytime we came back. It is in a great location, which makes walking to places around the Boston Commons area easy. I won't stay here again due to no elevator and no TV stations. I will get a hotel.

Great Location to Explore Boston!
My wife and I selected this location for a trip to Boston. Location is perfect for walking to Boston Common, the Public Garden and stops along the T. The suite is old, yet modern and comfy. You are in a big city so expect some noise (traffic, sirens, movement and doors closing in the building). The suite was clean and the kitchen was stocked with silverware, plates/dishes, coffee and extra supplies. I downloaded the app for Sonder but did not use the concierge nor did I need to report an issue.

White noise machine in bedroom was great. Clean and spacious, great location. Did give us a pack n play to use for our daughter. Didn’t provide a sheet for the pack n play though. Electronic key pad to check into the room seem to not be functioning exactly properly, but we always got in and out okay. No full length mirror, and bathroom door doesn’t open all the way (hits the vanity) so can’t even stand back and see yourself.

Sonder did not allow us to check out early, we could not get refunded when we notified them that the place was not fit to stay in, extremely poor ventilation, dishwasher released a burnt plastic smell into the apartment, non-responsive customer service, and crowded space not as made apparent in online photos.

Everything Sonder (just not too cozy)
Sonder is a brand with a style all their own, so just be sure that is what you are looking for. For us, the location was wonderful in Beacon Hill; having a kitchen of sorts and living area was nice; apartment was clean; and communication was terrific. On the flip side, there was nothing comfy about the living room and kitchen area and we did miss having a place to “flop” and relax other than the bedroom.

Great place to stay if you're not driving because parking is atrocious nearby. The location is subterranean and if arriving at night it's kind of difficult to find. The entrance light was broken so you'll need your phone's flashlight to enter the code. When I arrived the stairs leading down was iced over and very slippery, so be cautious when walking down in the winter, not an issue when warm. The unit's door dosen't stay shut by itself, so you'll have to use the Schlage deadbolt to keep it shut. When leaving close the door and press the Schlage logo to lock the door. The bathroom door also dosen't really lock, not a big issue. The room was very nice, though part of the floor near the closet was obviously rotted and sank down as you stepped on it. Noise level is OK as you can hear people walking above you, and people talking in the hallway. Parking is a nightmare, and don't park at the goverment center garage per property's recommendation because they gauge the **** out of you. I parked my car at 11pm and took the car out by noon the next day, $60. If you must drive, find street parking by a meter after 8pm - I was able to find it by the 7/11, download the parking app and set an alarm at 7:58am to wake up and pay $4 for 2 hours to 10am. Overall a great alternative to hotels, except parking sucks but that's big city for you.

I was in Boston because my husband was having surgery at Mass. General. The close proximity, cleanliness and comfort were all greatly appreciated. I did find the check-in process unnecessarily involved and annoying. Also, I think there needs to be better information right from the get go that one is NOT booking a hotel room and that there is NO parking.

PERFECT location to enjoy all Boston has to offer. We were walking distance to almost everything and Hancock St was AMAZING! We felt like true Bostonians. The only bad thing I can say about our whole experience was the noise of the construction EVERY morning starting at 7am. PS: hope you like an extra firm mattress

The heaters weren’t working so I called the property manager. Within 30 minutes they dropped off two portable heaters. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
