If you wanted some peace and quiet there were plenty of places to retreat to. The outdoor space is immense and the wild flower meadow is the best i've ever seen. "We stayed at the property for our wedding recently and had 40 people in total attending the wedding, with 30 staying on site at both the chateau and gites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wedding was wonderful. The area is very pretty but pretty isolated. The chateau and gites are beautifully decorated and fully furnished. "The house is full of charm and character, a beautifully renovated farmhouse with lots of space and comfort. We really enjoyed the lovely pool and hot tub, and the boules court! It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen and to enjoy meals both indoors and outside. Paul and Virginie were very helpful and kind, especially when we had to deal with some unexpected car trouble. We would be delighted to stay there again."

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

"The hotel was lovely we were given a newly refurbished room with a fantastic walk in shower. The owner and his wife could not have been more helpful. They were cheerful and chatty and very likeable. The hotel room was on a main road but was easily walkable into the city. "
