The perfect setting

The Boat House was lovely situated with beautiful views of the river and set in acres of the most beautiful grounds. There were great cycle tracks along the river to Cognac and Jarnac. We had the most peaceful, relaxing stay and the hosts were very friendly. We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely river house

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous property! The atmosfere is incredibly relaxing, making it the perfect getaway to explore the Cognac area. A special thanks to Alice and her friends for their warm hospitality. The hosts were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our dog Ziggy, also had a wonderful time exploring the estate and enjoying the beautiful park. Additionally, the Gardner was lovely and very helpful too, adding to the overall charm of the place.Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the nature and the beautiful surroundings.

Magical!

We loved the feeling of this place, as soon as we drove up the driveway. Everything about it was beautiful and I actually cried on the day we had to leave..... The accommodation was perfect for the three of us, me, my Husband and our Hungarian Vizsla, Hudson. We enjoyed the pool, walks around the stunning grounds, the views, the river access...... We even stayed an extra night, of which the hosts were great! We'll be re-booking again soon. So glad we found this unique little sanctuary of peace and quiet, thank you xxx

Superb location - very private and a treasure of nature in beautiful countryside surroundings. Home to a lot of birds - trees and garden in need of attention we hope to visit again during a different season.

Es war wundervoll. Ein Ort um sich gut zu erholen. Wir haben es genossen auf der schnuckligen Terrasse zu sitzen und die unfassbare Weite des Garten zu genießen. Natürlich ist der direkte Zugang zur Charante einmalig. Wir sind dort oft Kanu und SUP gefahren. Das Boatshouse ist auch sehr charmant. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
