This 5 star home is the perfect option for your stay in one of the most beautiful locations in Utah! only 20 minute drive through Red Canyon to entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park and 50 minutes to Zions National Park you are surrounded by endless outdoor activities (hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife photographing, ATV and horseback riding) and incredibly unique scenery. The owner can recommend self-guided activites or preferred outfitters to ensure the vacation of a lifetime!
The beauty and comfort of the home match the surrounding peace and scenery of it’s hilltop location. Spacious 1500 sq. foot home with wonderful gathering places inside and outside. Central air-conditioning. On cool nights gather near the fireplace in the large family room or the firepit on the deck. Enjoy morning coffee from the patio or on a quiet summer evening have a glass of wine on the patio and watch the sun set. Barbecue your dinner on the Blackstone gas flattop. The home features a fully equipped kitchen, large bar glass collection, interesting interior colors, lighting, and designs. Most importantly, comfortable beds and all spaces are immaculately clean.
Location: This home rents out quickly due to it’s location -- on a quiet hilltop overlooking the "Norman Rockwellesque" town of Panguitch with views of mountain ranges in every direction – making sunrise AND sunset must do activities. Most guests choose this home for it’s proximity to Bryce Canyon National Park and Zions National Park. But, many also stay for short trips on one of America’s most scenic byways Route 12 to access three Utah State Parks (Kodachrome, Anasazi, and Escalante) all equally impressive and unique as the national parks. Others spend a day boating or fishing on the 1400 acre high elevation Panguitch Lake or fishing on the endless highly rated rivers and streams in the area.

  • The Gem Theatre (previously known as Kinema Theatre, Hub Theatre) was built in 1909. In 1924, one of the reels of film got stuck in the projector and caught fire, igniting a full reel in the lower magazine. Only the outer shell of the theater survived the fire. The Kinema was rebuilt "as near fireproof as possible" and reopened in 1924. The Kinema Theatre was renamed the Hub Theatre in 1928. In 1933, the theatre was renovated and renamed it the Gem Theatre. After the advent of television, the theater could not attract large enough crowds to pay film rental fees. The Gem Theatre closed about 1986. The title of the last movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, remained on the marquee for ten years as the theater sat idle. Sometime after this the theater was again damaged by fire. Mark Childs, owner of Childs Construction, and his wife Heather, a retired dancer, purchased the Gem Theatre in April 2010, after moving to Panguitch from Henderson, Nevada.  After replacing the building's fire-damaged roof, the Childs rebuilt the Gem Theatre's interior and reopened it on 28 May 2011. #OnTheRoad

Peaceful and Views For Days

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely home. A very quiet neighborhood with patio views overlooking the valley. It was very clean, well stocked and the bed one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in away from home. A perfect place to call home while visiting the nearby sights and a close drive to Bryce Canyon NP.

Panguitch visit

The house was clean and well stocked. The view was fabulous. There are only 2 bedrooms. The game room, which is the main entrance to the house, acts as the third sleeping area. I would stay there again.

House on the Hill

It was a great house for our needs. There were 4 of us. Easy drive to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. The view from the front of the house was the best. Great sun sets and rises!

Bryce Canyon base

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and welcoming and the views were good. A short drive to Bryce and we enjoyed all the hikes we could squeeze in. Also visited Zion and enjoyed our time there. Panguitch town is a very short drive away and the supermarket had everything we needed. The smart TV was great and enabled us to stream any shows we wanted to watch. Found the information book was clear and concise, the house was well stocked and access was easy. Would recommend the C-stop pizza. We ordered a pizza to take home and bake and it was perfect and also worked out well for lunches. This trip was a mother and daughter trip and we were both impressed with our home away from home.

Great location for hiking Bryce, Zion and Red Rock Canyon. Panguitch has a grocery store, liquor store and various restaurants to meet your vacation needs. The house was clean, comfortable, and a great patio.

What made this stay so special is the ability of the host to accommodate our unusual requests. He went above and beyond to make sure our needs where met. The house was very clean and was at a great location. If I ever get the chance to travel this way again, this will be the place I'll be staying.

Absolutely loved our stay. Two bedrooms on opposite sides of the homestead separated by a game room. Excellent mountain sunset view w/ patio area surrounded by native grasses and star gazing late nights.
