Brand new, custom built, fully furnished 2-bedroom carriage house in South Minneapolis. Combines Dutch Colonial charm with modern amenities. Warm and inviting, located in a historic neighborhood with excellent access to Downtown Minneapolis. Spacious rental for up to 6 guests is situated within 1-2 blocks of fantastic restaurants and coffee shops.
Newly listed on VRBO. Search for and read the many 5 star reviews on the other major platform. (Can't link directly.)
Kingfield Cottage includes full kitchen, washer/dryer and detergent, front porch, smart lock, access to a gas grill, free street parking, coffee pot and coffee grounds, luggage racks, pack and play, portable high chair, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and central heating/air conditioning. King Cottage utilizes trash, composting and recycling. The rental is cleaned with chemical free products and bedding is washed in scent free detergent.
Strict house rules include no smoking, no pets and no parties/events. Hosts live in a separate house on the property for convenience and assistance as needed.

Perfect stay!

Great little place to stay close to downtown. Very inexpensive compared to other down town listings. Everything was fully stocked. Check in and check out weren’t complicated. Definitely will be staying here again when I’m back in town.

Home away from Home

We enjoyed the stay at this cottage. It is a beautiful home with a fully stocked kitchen including cooking utensils, spices, and dishes. The shower has perfect temperature and pressure and bathroom included toiletries items that might be forgotten at home. I gave one star just for the street parking and walk behind the house which wasn’t difficult but also not ideal.

Great Space in a convenient but quiet location

The house was exactly as described, with only good surprises. It’s a mother-in-law apartment above the garage, but it’s spacious and very new. All of the appliances worked beautifully, and the beds were super clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, but had plenty of restaurants nearby and was a very short drive into downtown. Would absolutely stay here again without question.

This is separate guest house from the main house and for that reason is nice and private. It's clearly well cared for and clean. The neighborhood is what I would term as gentrifying, with newer construction starting to refresh some of the aged parts. Overall recommended!

Close to Downtown

Owner's communicated well! Very comfortable 2 bedroom behind tenant house above the garage. AC was great as well as overall accommodations. Very close to downtown MN- were were in town for a wedding and used Uber. Parking for us was not a challenge but the street is busy.

Relaxing

This property was the first Vrbo home we rented. The experiece was fantastic. The home was everything it promised. I stayed with my daughter and her 2 friends for her 18th birthday. So much was provided to make our stay comfortable... many amenities were provided, the kitchen had everything you needed for food prep, bathroom sheet towels, to extremely comfortable beds...whatever was needed, it was there. The home was plenty spacious for the 4 of us and privacy was great. The check in and check out was a breeze.

Summer trip to Minneapolis

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this Kingfield home. It was in a walkable neighborhood with lots of restaurants and it was a short drive to downtown. The home is perfect for a family of three such as mine but could also work if you have more then one child because there are bunk beds in one room and the beds are queen size. They also store an extra bed in the main bedroom closet. The kitchen and bathroom are both good sizes and have everything you need. The backyard had a huge trampoline in it which is right in front of the rental home and it was a little difficult to get suitcases through the back yard. It is a pretty tight path to get to the home because of the stuff in the yard but once you get in the home it is great.

The property was very well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was close to downtown, which was very convenient for our purposes. We found street parking and accessed the property from the alleyway in the back, which worked well.

Hosts are polite and respectful of privacy; house was very cute and was plenty spacious for our number of guests. We loved the full-size kitchen, and the washer/dryer access. The surrounding neighborhood is okay, though it's nice that transportation is readily accessible from this house. We would definitely return to this house!
