"Mountain View Lodge is amazing place to stay while visiting Mt. Rainier or its surroundings! We really enjoyed staying there and will would be happy to come again.
The lodge has different rooms and cabins for all group sizes and families. Some of them are even equipped with a kitchen area. So, whether you are traveling alone, with friends, or with family, for one night or a longer stay—you'll find a great accommodation here.
A huge shoutout to the team at the lodge—everyone was so welcoming and kind!
The location is great for visiting Mt. Rainier. Packwood is the best gateway to all the Mt. Rainier entrances, but there are also many other things to explore around the area. Additionally, the Lodge's location within Packwood is perfect—easy to find, and close to cafes and stores. Despite being in town, it is pretty quiet and close to nature. You may even spot elk grazing around (I wish we had seen them ourselves!)."

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent accommodations! We loved making The Nest our home base for all of our adventures at Mt. Rainier. Clean and comfortable cabin. The owner and property manager were very attentive. We enjoyed our stay!"
"Extremely clean, not a cob web to be found inside or out. My family loved Packwood and all of the Elk that we saw. I would definitely stay here again."
"We loved our time at this property ... we did a few loads of laundry, played Taboo and watched movies in the late afternoons (after hiking at Mt. Rainier) and drovethe 5 minutes to Packwood Brewery for dinner and drinks (oh, and ice cream at Ice Cream Air Stream) in the evening. Super fun decor ... but parents of young kids, be forewarned that not all of the decor is "family friendly". ;) Fortunately, our kids are now young adults and weren't phazed by it, but I would had felt the need to cover the "periodic elements of sex" poster if my kids were just a few years younger."
"This is a beautiful home right outside of Packwood! We saw many elk down the road right in Packwood. The biggest thing to note is that the “bedroom” with the bunkbed is not a bedroom at all, and is in the loft. This was problematic as we travelled with 3 families and one was left without the privacy of a bedroom. Otherwise, great property and home. Very kid friendly."
