Near National Park and Yellowstone River. Full Kitchen, dog friendly
The Pinto Ranch Hangar Suite is located inside our Airplane hangar ( The "boss" doesn't fly anymore) This is a one bedroom suite with a queen bed and large bathroom. The spacious living area has a large sectional couch. The suite has a full kitchen, wifi, and a tv with roku installed. There is a walking path that crosses the Ranch that you are welcome to use (contact Kindra) There is a pond at the home place. No swimming or fishing but nice to see. (Contact Kindra) The mountain views are tremendous! If you are a hunter that has drawn a tag in this area, the Hangar is very central for you. This is a working sheep ranch. Thus, there are sheep around the property to see and I am often out working my border collies, and caring for the sheep by the barn. Fishing, hiking, rock climbing, rafting, horseback riding and more are within 30 minutes of the Hangar. The Yellowstone river is rated a blue ribbon river. Guides are easy to book, or you can fish on your own. Lots of accesses. Yellowstone National Park is just 37 miles south of the Hangar. So much to see there! Chico Resort is 10 minutes away and offers hot springs for soaking and swimming, a fine restaurant, bar and grill and a day spa. We now have Sage Lodge. Dining and a spa. Yellowstone Hot Springs is also nice. All of these have websites. Daily Lake is also close with picnic areas, fishing and boating. Lots to do here in this beautiful valley. The Pinto Ranch Hangar is an awesome location to call home base.

We truly loved our stay here and it made us sad to leave!! Great location to get to Yellowstone and also Livingston is very close as well for shopping the owner was very nice and it had everything we needed and more!!
Loved the Hanger. It’s cozy, clean and comfortable. It’s located close to Yellowstone and the views around the property are beautiful. I would definitely recommend it and would love to go back there again.
This apartment is very comfortable with plenty of room to relax. Everything was exactly as presented and the location has easy access to Yellowstone. Would stay here again.
We stayed here with our labradoodle and really enjoyed it. Great place to unload and load and parking was extremely convenient. Everything in the hangar was in great shape. Has a large comfortable couch and bed was very comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again when we come back.
We loved our stay! Gorgeous setting and so peaceful. Very comfortable, well-outfitted kitchen, cozy place to stay. The place has access to great hikes, Yellowstone Park, Livingston and Bozeman ... and open air concerts. Totally recommend this lovely place to stay!
My dad booked this as a wedding gift and it was a wonderful surprise to us. Had a wonderful time, easy access. Loved the scenery for the fall. Our host was great !
Location was just what we needed for our first road trip with the new puppy. We were able to get out and walk around the property, visit with Pants the horse down the way and be located close to hiking and activities. Kindra was great.
This property did not disappoint. The hangar was a great place to come home to at the end of a long day at Yellowstone. We took a walk around the property and met the horse and took in the beautiful views. Our host was very welcoming and friendly and so accessible when needed. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
Beautiful hangar with gorgeous mountain views. Lovely decor & furnishings. Had all the necessities. Enjoyed watching sheep & horse everyday. We drove to Yellowstone Park & Big Sky for day trips. Highly recommend staying at the hangar!
Hubs and I decided to venture out of the midwest and enjoy some time without the kiddos for a few days. We absolutely loved the hangar. Kindra had everything we needed to feel at home for a few days. The bed was extremely comfortable! It was cool to have some sheep and a friendly horse greet us each morning too! We definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Well 1st let me say Kindra was extremely easy to work with she answered all our questions I’m a timely manner. The hanger a great experience
Beautiful views well kept had everything we needed. Would Definitely recommend and
Stay there again.
Thank you Kindra
Thank u :) it was pleasure to stay at your place;) we never forget the view of the mountains. Great location and we loved to be surrounded by mountains. Also we had a Great time in the Old Saloon with life 🎶:) we love Montana :) thank u
This little apartment was neat as a pin. We enjoyed all the room for walking on the gravel roads nearby. The birds and sheep were a joy to watch. We enjoyed our stay. We only found a couple of towels for our week’s stay, but we made it work. We are pretty flexible! Everything else was perfect!
We loved our stay at the hanger. There is nothing negative to say. The mountains are beautiful surrounding the property. There is an adorable family of prairie dogs right outside your door that is so entertaining to watch. We also loved seeing the Bible on the table as soon as you walked in the door.

The host was very accessible and responsive to any questions that we had. Kindra was very friendly and helpful in every way. The rental was very spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen. The views from the property are spectacular and the beauty of the whole region is amazing. Yellowstone National Park is an easy drive from the rental. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was and my wife and I would like to thank Kindra again for her hospitality. I would highly recommend this rental.

This is a great property for making day trips to Yellowstone and surrounding attractions. It’s quiet, clean, and well-stocked with basic things: kitchen utensils, coffee filters, towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc. We slept well on the soft bed so no complaints from us. But, if you need firm you might be on the couch ;) We did not meet Kindra but we appreciated the good communication, cleanliness, and value. I highly recommend this property! *****
We enjoyed our stay. Saw lots of wildlife. Elk, bison, bears, bighorn sheep, and antelope. Drove to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons. Kindra our host provided good hospitality. The was place was clean and not far from many activities. She answered any questions you had and was always available if needed. The best advice I can give when visiting the park is to get up early and arrive at Yellowstone Park at sunrise. You will avoid crowds and see more wildlife. We hiked Beavers Pond. It was 5 miles long and is located at the entrance of Mammoth Springs. I would describe trail as moderate in difficulty.
This was absolutely perfect, 10/10!! We were in the area for a week of fishing and this allowed us to be in a central location of the rivers, about 20 to Livingston and 25 to YNP. The Yellowstone River is across the road and we saw several locations along the roads marked for river access. It’s so peaceful and quiet and the views from the porch are amazing! We didn’t cook any meals there but everything was there if we wanted to. There are a couple restaurants in Emigrant but we mostly ate in Livingston or Gardiner. There’s no AC but we were not uncomfortable at all. It was in the upper 70’s during the day and 50’s at night. Keeping the shades closed during the day and opening the windows at night worked well (and there was a fan). The fishing was amazing and we only hit 5 different location so we will definitely be back and absolutely look to rent this again.

description wildly misrepresents the property
Most importantly the bedroom is in the middle of the suite and there is no window. (building codes?) Tested the fire alarm in the bedroom and the battery was dead. Replaced it with a new one from the junk drawer and the beep was so faint; it wouldn't wake any sleeping person.
So disappointed in the property based on the "working sheep ranch" description. The unit may be in an old airplane hangar which sounds cool, but it's also attached to a storage facility with 6 buildings that are conveniently cropped out of the pictures. There was no view of any farm activity except occasional sheep grazing. No dogs, no pond.
The listing reads patio, BBQ grill, and picnic area?
The "patio" right outside the entry door has ONE rusty metal bench and then a line of roll up storage doors. We moved the bench out to the driveway to have drinks and enjoy the view which is fabulous with your back to the storage facility. No side tables to put things on.
There is a sheet of paper when you arrive that reads there is a charcoal BBQ for use that sits on the ground but we'd have to ask for it and supply the briquettes...WE'RE NOW 15-20 MINS FROM LIVINGSTON WITH GROCERIES TO GRILL AND I'M NOT SQUATING TO COOK!!
You can use the wood stove, with permission and guess what? You can drive back to town to buy your own wood!
Dirty- cob webs from all the lamps to walls & inside the shades. Door jams & blinds are covered in dust & webs. THICK LAYER of dust on the bathroom lights.
First and last VRBO experience.
Beautiful views, close to Yellowstone & all of the sights. Fully stocked home with such a hospitable host! We loved our stay! Highly Recommend! Thank you Kindra!
The space was very clean and much larger than we expected it to be, kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook a proper meal, a grill and camp chairs were offered, our dog was happy, comfortable, and fascinated by the sheep, location was perfect for our needs with quick access to town and fishing, Kindra communicated everything and made herself available if we had any issues. Would absolutely love to stay here again one day!
