Stevens Lane New Log Cabin - Lamoka Lake - just steps from the water's edge.
Welcome to this incredible, cozy, just finished log cabin It is a one bedroom (queen bed), cabin on Lamoka Lake, one of "New York's Best Kept Secrets", just steps from the water's edge. You can enjoy additional sleeping space on the sofa bed in the living room with a queen mattress. We include a full bathroom and a complete kitchen with dishes for eating, pots and pans for cooking and an expandable table. You will stay nice and cool, or warm with the heat pump/Air conditioner mounted on the wall.
Outside you can enjoy a beautiful covered wrap around deck with an eating table and cozy sitting area, including a cooling fan overhead for those really warm days (we've been told it keeps bugs away, also). The Weber 3 burner gas grill is just out the back door. The kayak rack with 4 kayaks is near the waters edge, and the dock, along with the fire pit and available fire wood. When you arrive, you will find a parking area with space for 2 vehicles. Be sure to bring your fishing gear as Lamoka Lake is noted for fishing. You can fish right off the dock out in front of the cabin.
Lamoka lake is located between two larger finger lakes, Seneca and Keuka. Our scenic area boasts many wineries, distilleries and breweries just waiting for you to visit. Many tourist locations are within 25 minutes driving distance; such as, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport and Corning. The area has many walking trails, museums, bike trails, Amish/Mennonite shopping areas, along with lots of Waterfalls.
Since this is the beginning of our 2nd year with the cabin, we don't have many reviews, but I decided to photograph and include the notes our guests have written in our journal. Check them out in the photos.
Come and visit, you can't help but enjoy yourself!

The stay was perfect for our needs. The calm of the water and listening to the bullfrogs in the evening was ao peaceful and relaxing. Sally and George are incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. We enjoyed the smores makings by the bonfire that they left for us too. And the cabin was beautiful and spotless. A wonderful place. I highly recommend!
My husband and I recently stayed at this perfect, cozy cabin. It was very clean & the perfect size. The hosts, Sally and George, were very friendly and provided many small, thoughtful
amenities that made our stay easier & more enjoyable. We are already looking fotward to our next visit.
l amenities that mr trip
The location is steps from the water - a great place for bass fishing! We did not take advantage of the fishing or kayaking while we were there. We did find some great dog friendly State Parks with lots of walking trails - Sugar Hill was our favorite. Most every winery or brewery are dog friendly, which was a bonus for us!!
Sally and George were wonderful hosts- creating a welcoming atmosphere from providing smore's to lots of firewood for the evening campfires. They were close by, always willing to give a hand if needed.
This was our first trip with our rescue pup and we couldn't have been more pleased. Perfect for a recharge for us and a great training opportunity for the pup.
Our stay at this cabin was wonderful! It was so peaceful and serene being only steps from the lake. The ability to use the paddle boat and kayaks was such an added bonus! Everything was clean and the hosts were so friendly and available as needed. The location was great- about 10-25 minutes to a lot of places. Our five year old has already asked to stay again!
Having had a few hectic weeks, this place was wonderful for decompressing. It is a short drive to several State Parks as well as breweries, wineries and distilleries.
The Stevens Lane Log cabin on Lamoka Lake is absolutely charming! Sally and George, the hosts, are just wonderful people and have a beautiful home to share. It was just perfect for the two of us for a long weekend to unwind. The home is relatively new, completely trimmed out in light pine on the inside, so it is bright and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, with a nice note welcoming us as well as a S'mores kit! There is an AC and heating unit that takes care of the whole house. There is a fully stocked kitchen with full size gas range and refrigerator. Floor are all luxury vinyl plank which was fantastic for cleaning up. Comfortable queen bed, sofa and rocking chair in the main room, small SMART TV, and a table for 4. There were chairs and a 2 seat with high top table on the front porch as well as Adirondack chair and a fire pit with firewood in the yard. They also have a row boat and kayaks for guests to use. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet, well equipped, relaxing place for vacation, look no further. This was a wonderful place for a tired couple and their dog to have a memorable, long weekend. Thank you again Sally and George. We will see you again some day!
