Great location and easy walking to all the main areas of Braga. Parking was a plus in front of the hotel or across the street in their garage if spots are not available. Friendly and helpful staff. room was comfortable and decently cleaned. Breakfast was decent.

I was totally pleased with our overnight stay at the hotel. I booked it because the hotel has a few parking spaces, and we were lucky to score one. But the hotel itself is great, easy check in, friendly staff, comfortable beds, spacious room, nice clean bathroom, nice breakfast included, in the historical center of Braga.

Great town centre location with only 6 car spaces.
Only 6 free parking spaces available which was not made clear on booking site. Staff very helpful but unable to accommodate parking issues. Not a good start to a break when you either have to feed the meter every 2 hours or park at extra expense. Great location otherwise. Breakfast was basic .

First time in Braga .for me hotel dona sofia was perfect by the center of the city .walkin distance for almost everything .service employees very good atention to all questions ..personal i recomend this hotel if you like be by the center of the city .

O hotel é uma graça, super bonito e com um ótimo café da manhã. O problema foi que ficamos hospedadas num quarto que o ar condicionado não funcionava. A atendente dizia que era um problema do hotel, mas na última noite, quando estávamos prontas para mudar de hotel, fomos transferida para um outro quarto que o ar era tão bom que dormimos embrulhadas numa coberta. Achei um absurdo a atendente não ter nos mudado antes, já que estávamos hospedadas a trabalho.

Braga is beautiful! Hotel Dona Sofia is also very lovely. When I checked in, I had a wonderful experience. The place was lovely, my room was great, everything was super clean. The night time staff was great. However, that night my A/C didn't work and it was in the upper 30's Celsius. The next day, I had to change rooms because I had made the reservations separately, and that's where the problem began. The day time front desk person is among the rudest I have encountered during my travels through Europe. I did bring that up, and they apologized, but it seems to be a local attitude because I found it everywhere I went, which made my trip very short. The second room was just as lovely and clean, but the A/C only worked for half the night. So, in the end a Hotel that could have gotten 4 stars is getting 3. For summer in Portugal you need to have A/C, and basic civility from your staff is a requirement.

Helpful staff, good breakfast options, only has 5 free parking spots on site. Beds small (double is truly a double and not 2 twins put together) very uncomfortable but had great pillows!

Great location
Great location to explore Braga. Hotel is fine - not great, but good value for the price. Our room had a massive renovated bathroom but old room with old beds (ancient springs were a bit pointy) and thin sheets, old blankets. Place was very clean. Breakfast was ok.

Excellent service. Perfect location. Excellent breakfast. The furniture is a bit dated but that would be my only issue. The staff was very helpful. I would rebook in a heartbeat.

Excellent staff. Excellent location.
I have stayed in many hotels, I have to say that the staff at this hotel were some of the best I have met. They went beyond what was expected to make us comfortable, and even moved staff car to arrange parking for us. The hotel was situated very well to walk around and enjoy the sites of Braga.

Charming and Cozy. Great Location
Great location for getting out and seeing Braga. Walk to everything. A cozy lounge with a fireplace ( we were there in January) area to read, people watch enjoy a beverage. Very family friendly, rooms are good size and clean. The staff is very friendly as well as helpful. Great café across the way sat on top of ancient ruins.
