Let's begin with the positives. The house was large enough for our group. (10 adults, 3 children) Everyone having their own space and bathroom is a must for all of us and this house provided that space. It's location to the pool was excellent. Not having to climb stairs, while carrying babies and pool gear is a big plus. The indoor pool was nice on the first evening as it was cool outside. The check in procees was as described, and very smooth. The upper deck caught lovely breezes and the view of the lake was enjoyable. Now for the not so good. A lot of things did not work. The massage chair did not work, and hasn't for months. The video game shown in the photos did not work. The dart board did work, but the darts are in bad repair, broken and missing tips, and felts. They wouldn't fly. The shuffle board table lacked sand, so the weights didn't slide well. There was no wifi. Period. It wasn't sketchy, it was non-existent. The burners on both grills are gunky and only the front part of the burners would light. And either the grills or the fire table leaks propane because the upper deck always had the smell of propane. To the degree we would not let the children sit out there (they would be about nose level with that smell). However once the sun set, none of us sat on the upper deck, The deck became over run with spiders. Dozens of them dropping from the ceiling. The mass quanity of spiders ended the evening hot tub soaks as well. There is no relaxing in the tub when you're worried about a spider landing on your head! This property allowed us to bring our family dog, but there is absolutley no grass or good place for walking. The front yard in giant rocks, the entire back yard is giant rocks. No place for play for pets or children. Moving inside- The kitchen. This property states it will sleep 26 people. With a group that size you would expect cooking to be done. DO NOT attempt to cook in this unit. While the instructions state you must run the vent prior to and during cooking it is not enough. The faulty design and layout of the atuomatic smoke alarms guarantees any thing you cook will result in an alarm be set. The fire department was alerted. Our firemen told us they respond to a call at this home every time it is occupied. That you must open windows, open the doors to the deck, and turn on the ceiling fan, and even then if you cook bisuits or bacon there is still a chance the alarms will sound.
