The house is cute, charming & clean. It is in a good location & was perfect for what we needed. The only thing i was not thrilled about was that this property has 2 studio apartments/units that had no mention of being on the property in the listing. I only found out about it the day before we were to be there. Overall it is a good rental.

The house was clean, air-conditioned and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Katie was quick at communications and answered all questions. The location near St. Bernard's school was great for joining in Cycle Zydeco events.

Mardi gras 2025

Katie's guest house was ideally located and just right for us to see and dance our way through mardi gras this year. It was our first time in the area and we had fun exploring the Atchafalaya swamp, the dance halls and bars and the parades and celebrations for mardi gras. Our favorite Cajun band is Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys so we were in the right place at the right time! The only problem was which place to go because so much is happening all over, everywhere, at the same time.

Stay was adequate. Back porch was nice (although no view). Neighbors were nice and we felt safe walking around. Beds were average comfort for vrbo.Listing had it 1.5 bathrooms. I don't count a random toilet in the laundry room with no toilet paper and no sink as a half bathroom.Communication with hosts were excessive and borderline rude in some situations. They have notes and signs posted all over the house which are excessive, sometimes rude, and a little ridiculous. I've had other VRBOs with a couple pages/folder with information which is nice. But I don't need 5 different signs in a bathroom, signs every 3 feet posted on a fence, notes on all walls and AC units. Additionally, I received multiple texts and VRBO messages telling me the same thing over and over again. It was too much. Also, reviews and description make it seem like there's lots of extras and freebies, I would disagree. There's a few things in the kitchen and bathroom but it's on the low end of useful things compared to other VRBOS. There was enough coffee for one day although we were there for 5 days. We bought stuff and left it there for the next people.

We had an amazing stay & will definitely be coming back to visit this location. Felt like home as soon as we walked in and the king size bed is to die for! Seriously best bed I’ve slept on in awhile! Katie was amazing with communication and making sure we felt welcomed!
