Bungalow By the Bay Saltwater Retreat For 2 guests
The Bungalow is located on the east shore of Ostrich Bay in Bremerton. It is a quiet getaway filled with everything you need for a memorable stay. You will find comfortable accommodations including a fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry room. For outdoor dining, there is the Barbeque Grotto just steps away from your front door. A beach trail leads through the gardens by the Glass House and continues down to the beach where wildlife, sunrise and sunset awaits you.
The Bungalow accommodates up to 2 guests. The bedroom has a queen bed with bedside tables, reading lamps and a combination alarm clock/charging station - don`t forget to bring your charging cords! There are extra blankets and pillows. There is a large closet containing a wardrobe, luggage rack, ironing board and iron. A small desk is for any work you need to do, and the Wi-Fi is free - 100mbps download and 6mbps upload.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware and cookware, including coffeemaker, blender and toaster.
The Rest of the Property
Just across from the Bungalow under the trees you`ll find a propane barbecue and buffet table. There is seating for 6 at a table and a propane fire pit for relaxing and conversation. The entire area is lighted so you can continue after dark.
Just past the barbeque area is a winding path through cottage gardens to the waters of Ostrich Bay. The path continues down the rustic stairs to the beach where you can catch views of wildlife and even a few rays of the sun. Other activities include beachcombing, kayaking, paddle boarding or whatever your heart desires.

Bungalow By The Bay is located near the north end of Marine Drive in Bremerton, WA. We are on the eastern shore of Ostrich Bay where we have a beautiful view to the west. On clear days in the mornings, you can see the sun shining on the snow capped Olympic Mountains. Throughout the day there is all the wildlife you would expect to see along a shoreline: seabirds, seals, an occasional otter and the world of beach creatures at your feet. In the evening the sunsets can be spectacular followed by the fading silhouettes of the Olympic Mountains.
You can get to us by driving from Interstate 5 and Washington State Highway 16 to Bremerton. Alternatively, you can take a Washington State Ferry from downtown Seattle to Bremerton. We are located 15 minutes from the Bremerton Ferry Terminal.
The driveway is shared with guests staying in the other unit. Please be kind and stay in the area you have booked. With this listing you are booking the lower floor of the bungalow which is the first building you come to on the property as well as the BBQ area with fire pit directly across the driveway.
We ask that you keep off the deck overlooking the water past the Romantic Cottage and also respect that the small glass house is reserved for guests staying in the Romantic Cottage.
We are a quick 10-minute drive to the Navy shipyard and Bremerton Ferry. From there, a 50-minute picturesque ferry ride takes you to downtown Seattle within walking distance of Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium and Seattle waterfront restaurants and shops. From downtown you can also take the light rail to SeaTac airport, and sports stadiums for Mariners and Seahawks games. Prices for the Washington State Ferries can be found on Washington Department of Transportation website. Kitsap County has a passenger only fast ferry that gets to Seattle in 30 minutes and another short ferry ride to Port Orchard where you can find additional restaurants and shopping. Prices for the fast ferry and Port Orchard ferry can be found on the Kitsap Transit website. Driving to Seattle or SeaTac airport is a little over an hour away (depending on traffic). You can also take a 30-minute drive to Poulsbo where you can enjoy boutique shops and restaurants. Bremerton is also a great starting point to exploring the Olympic peninsula which contains the Olympic National Park, historic towns of Port Townsend and Port Angeles.
