We ultimately had a wonderful stay. My husband and I were in Bridgehampton for a wedding. When we arrived we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic front desk employee- she gave a very “bored” vibe. For the money we were paying a little bit of enthusiasm would have been nice. We paid a little under $1000 per night (with tax more) and our first thought was this is not a 4 star hotel. BUT….as our stay went on we really enjoyed A Room at the Beach. The service greatly improved (we did not say anything, but we will attribute it to who was working). The weekend employees were attentive and engaging. The rooms are small, but the renovations used the given footprint excellently. The feel of the shared space was lovely; I personally loved the chair tree swings. The grounds were beautiful in a Hamptons kind of way. We loved using the available bikes to ride around. Overall our stay was wonderful. Thank you!
Great, beautiful property. Bikes provided. Convenient location! AC blew cold! Shower didn’t drain well. Recessed lighting in bathroom did not work. TV turned on but no input. Other than that, great!
Travelled with a friend at the end of Sept . Quiet time for the hotel which is lovely.
Good points : stunning garden! Amount of work that it takes to maintain such beautiful plants is impressive . Stylish outdoor furnitures . Bed and pillows were very comfortable . Had a great night sleep . Free water and rose which was a nice touch
Improvement points : Eventhough it’s off season , one of the more pricey hotels I’ve ever stayed in prob because of the location .With that price point , there are certain expectations that comes with it . It’s the attention to service and details that the hotel lacks . Check in would be a much more pleasant experience if the staff showed us the grounds of the hotels esp given its boutique status . It could have been more personable . While the room was stylish , it lacked some of the details and practical aspects to go with it . This included missing tea spoons to stir your sugar in your coffee , lack of hooks to hang your clothes , the wifi was not usable within the room area and the pool had lots of leaf debris . All these can be easily improved to make the customer experience much more pleasant

We loved this little, quaint property. The room was small, but lovely, air conditioned well, smelled great, lovely bedding, nice products, there was rose and water available near lobby at all times. We could walk to town, took the beach pass to an amazing beach, etc. LOVED!
Very friendly staff. Clean room. Complimentary waters available. The room is small but comfortable. Shower, sink and toilet all separate. The shower is glassed in so if someone is sleeping they are exposed to the light and noise. Very nice grounds. We would stay again.
We only stayed for two night, the property was just gorgeous! Room was beautiful decorated and shower and bed were both great. The manager on duty Angela was an angel, she helped us plan our two days and was just a lovely lady. Loved the fact that they provide beach pass, everything was perfect and will def stay again. My only wish was the coffee machine set up in the room could be better. There was no outlet by the machine so we had to put it on the sink to make coffee. We could be just confused.

This place is literally disgusting. The smell of mold in the rooms is unbearable and was making me sick. We had to leave and go to another hotel. I could go on and on but please do not waste your money and stay here!
Extremely attentive staff, incredible amenities, cool and clean rooms, unlimited rosé… yeah I’m coming back every year. We loved it so much we extended our stay twice.
the place smells of mold and is dirty. due to my allergies i had to leave upon arrival and didn’t get to stay there. it is pretty dirty. not sure how this place got 4 stars. it’s sticky and damp everywhere. the rooms have a strong smell. wouldn’t recommend. a holiday inn may be more updated and cleaner. not worth it for nearly $800/night. worth 150-200. would never recommend.
Very strange place. Felt a bit like a commune. Rooms were cramped, humid, & dirty. Kids running around nude knocking on doors. Had to fix broken tv myself. Had to get tissue paper in a dark basement, because no one on staff to help. They offered to give a break on price, but never followed through so disputing with Amex. Avoid if you can.
Great location to walk to town of Bridgehampton. Renovated rooms with high end linens (frette, matouk, Serena and Lily). Great outdoor sitting area for most of the rooms (we were in room 2, Joannes Cove). Grounds are well kept and The team running the inn are very attentive.
