Billa Villa is a private holiday retreat tucked away among the trees, offering comfort, space, and complete privacy for families or groups. The home features an open-plan living and dining area with a cozy fireplace, flowing out to covered verandahs on two sides where you can relax and take in the leafy surrounds. Air conditioning in the main living areas ensures year-round comfort, while the elevated position makes this home ideal for a large family or two families holidaying together.

Upstairs, there are two queen bedrooms, both air conditioned and serviced by their own bathroom, creating a comfortable retreat for adults. Downstairs, two bunk rooms each feature two bunk beds (four singles per room) and share a second bathroom—perfect for kids or additional guests.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for holiday living and includes a Nespresso coffee machine (please bring your own pods). For entertainment, the home offers a huge TV with full surround sound, Netflix, WiFi, stereo and CD player. Step outside to enjoy the gas BBQ on the verandah, or unwind after a beach day knowing practical comforts such as a dishwasher, front-load washing machine, dryer, fireplace, and undercover parking are all provided.

Perfectly positioned, Billa Villa is just a short stroll to the Straddie Hotel as well as Home and Cylinder Beaches, combining a peaceful bush setting with easy access to some of the island’s most popular spots.

Big house in great location. Needs cleaning and maintenance.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bills Villa is a great house for large family or 2 families to share. Easy location with walk to beach. However it was filthy. I vacuumed the bedrooms on arrival, as there were dead ants, possibly been sprayed? All around the skirting boards and under windows. The cleaners do not clean under anything and so there is a built up of dirt and dust under all couches. The rangehood is oily and grimy with splatters of previous occupants bolognese on it. Also strange the beds weren’t made in the downstairs room, just the sheets placed on the bed and I had to make them on arrival. A number of kitchen kitchen items are broken and need replacing - the place needs some TLC and focus to bring it up to the standard it’s making out to be. I’d stay here again, but I would want to know the place is being deep cleaned on a regular basis

The temperature of the hot water appears to exceed safety regulations and could be a real danger to children.2. The exhaust fan over the stove does not work and there are no filters. Also lights next to area above stove do not work.3. Rice cooker did not work.4. Electric vegetable slicer had no power handle that we could find.5. The large black and blue plates do not fit into the dishwasher. They get hit by the rotating washing arm. (Unless there is a way to raise the top layer higher.)6. Non-stick pots and pans that have been badly scratched are not safe for cooking.

My Straddie Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very enjoyable week in Billa Villa, great location, walking distance to the beach was high on my list. Like most of Straddie very quite although Billa Villa was another level tucked away in the trees, we loved the observation deck for afternoon drinks as the sun set. Couple of improvements would help, extra light in the pantry, Dishwasher might need a upgrade and the writing on the oven dials have almost disappeared plus no manual available that we could see. Timer kept turning the oven off or maybe it was just me. ha ha

The spacious comfortable home has a great open plan design with a multiple decks surrounded by black bamboo and tropical gardens. The main deck is gated to keep dogs safe and well as a daybed for luxurious book reading or afternoon naps. The kitchen is well equipped, there's a huge flatscreen tv with surround sound. There is a beautiful little lookout at the top of the house. We had some lovely sunset drinks up there, as well as catching the full moon and some great lightning storms. The house is very conveniently positioned. It is a short walk to the dog off leash beach and the pub. There are also walking trails just near the house. This was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable houses I have ever stayed in. It was a pure delight.

Perfect for family gathering

The advertised description of the property is accurate - it was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed Cylinder beach daily - bike riding, kite flying, sunset view, whale watching from the headland as well as safe swimming. We went bushwalking & mountain/beach fat-biking from the end of the road. Fresh prawns were a frequent lunch. Sorry to leave!

Very disappointing

The house is in dire need of a proper clean and re-furbishment. The cleaners had done what they could in the quick turnover but this house needs a deep clean- there were stains on shower walls, dirt in the windows and door frames, dust and grease in the kitchen, blinds were stained, there was thick dust on walls, the blinds in bedrooms were missing sections in each room so that the windows were uncovered and exposed ( not ideal with sleeping children). The furniture was shabby, the bedding was very old and stained. The dryer wouldn't work due the extreme build up of muck and dirt.Overall we were extremely disappointed as the images did not show any of this.

Nice Position

It is a lovely short walk to Home and Cylinder Beach. It is uphill but it is not a steep hill more graduated so a lovely wander back after a swim. The apartment is nice and big and has lots of cooking items for big families. Unfortunately the place has long been neglected, there is matting of people's hair that you stare at whilst the water tries to drain away through it, I complained about this last year, the carpets are very old, and with the recent wet weather just stunk, the stand-up fan my daughter had on her downstairs is probably 15 years old and the cage is so caked in dirt I wondered whether that is bad for someones lungs, with the stink of the rooms downstairs and breathing in air of the filthy fan she thought she would go back to Brisbane. I have sent a lengthy email a year ago about the terrible standard of this property and phone calls to the agents a year ago but the owner is not in any hurry to rectify these things. He did relent by cleaning the fly screens that were filthy and the years of dead flies that had accumulated in the tracks of the doors, so I suppose one should be grateful for small mercies. We have decided not to book this place again. Would prefer to direct our money to landlords with higher standards for tenants. I have travelled all over Australia and many different countries, first time I have ever complained about a property.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival we could see the potential of the place, it was big and bright and the fireplace and TV stood out. The location is amazing, the top viewing deck was special and the size did cater well to a group of 8.We really liked the house and as regular air BnB users we know that Billa Villa has the potential for a 5 star review. But the general shabbiness, lack of care or of any welcoming touches make it a 3 star at bestThe ‘Happy Easter’ note from the Ray White Team and the toilets ‘hygiene seal’ indicated someone was there prior to our arrival - but it looked like it had been cleaned months before if at all! The outdoor furniture was covered in leaves, nuts, and cobwebs, as were all decks surrounding the house, including bedroom balconies. Just to have swept before our arrival would have made all the difference, especially with the current weather conditions.The feel of the accommodation is tired. The bedroom blinds are dirty, broken, and do nothing to keep the light out. The furniture though quite comfortable is out dated and shabbyThere were only 6 forks when the house sleeps 10!Multiple chipped, dirty mugs and plates. Dirty drawers and cupboardsThe Kitchen was totally disorganised with utensils, pots, pans, containers and a multitude of useless items just shoved anywhere. Bedroom wardrobes full of old junk and FILTHY fans. It felt like the owners had just moved out for the week, and we moved in! To ask guests to supply their own toilet paper, dishcloth, scourer, and not even offer salt and pepper or tea bags is very cheap, very unwelcoming, and far removed from the concept of air BnB letting.

Nice place. Needs a good clean and maintenance.

Had a great week staying there. The house needs a good clean throughout and the cutlery and crockery need to be updated. Lots of cooking utensils ( some a bit past their use by date) but overall enough to cook a feed. Nice sky deck and big outdoor areas. Recommend for location and house comfort. Just needs a bit of love.

Our North Straddy Stay @ Billa Villa!!

Billa Villa’s location set amongst natural island rainforest in Billa Street is absolutely beautiful! Given it’s short proximity to Cylinder / Home Beach - this Rainforest / Beach House is a beautiful, relaxing hideaway! Extensive outdoor decks and massive living space inside - well appointed kitchen, bathrooms - nice bedrooms each with balcony - upstairs skydeck to view Home Beach & Moreton Bay in the distance @ Sunset! - outdoor bbq & extensive outdoor dining options on the deck - unfortunately no pool!

Great Holiday

This property exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed for 1 week and wished it was longer! The house is very private, spacious and beautiful. It's surrounded by a rain forest type garden and has a large deck complete with two big dining tables, a day bed and double sided fireplace. Our family had the most wonderful stay. The only suggestion I would make is to provide a vacuum as travelling with young children mean the floor gets dirty fast. A broom is provided, however with a baby I wanted to vacuum the rug but the vacuum on site was not working. Other than that minor suggestion, we loved the place and will return.

Great house and Location

Great house and great location! Excellent kitchen for self catering with a large Miele oven. This is a perfect house for a larger family or 2 small families. The large deck is very relaxing and easy to entertain on, I particularly like the 2 sets of outdoor furniture which allows everyone to eat outside.Would definitely return.

Great location, great property.

Close enough to the pub to stroll down for a few drinks or a meal but far enough away to not hear the live bands/music. Would have to have a telescope to see any whales from the whale watching tower. Nevertheless, had a wonderful holiday and will stay here again.
