Terrible service provided when wanted to check in after hours. They purpousely dropped my call through intercom multiple times without opening door. I thonk rhe staff are not frienfly with international people.
I booked 2 rooms. The 1 room the aircon andnlights werent working. It took them till the nect day to fix it. The 2nd room had no smoke alarm in which i didnt notice till the end of thr stay. I am highlu disappointed. When we brought it up with thr staff they would only say expedia will refund your money and ignored the issues.
I've stayed at this hotel every time I've been in Brisbane for over 10 years and have to say they have really dropped the ball. The carpet and walls were heavily stained, the bathroom was riddled with mould and there were several cockroaches. The room smelled dank as windows were unable to be left open as there were no fly screens. On the plus side, for the price, the location is excellent, bed was comfortable aside from the pillows, there is also a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryer. Would be nice if the owners just touched the place up a bit. New carpets and a lick of paint would turn this place around.

The reception staff took 45 minutes to let me in. Room very small but you still charge big prices.

Value for money. Close to nightclub. Bathroom and shower needs upgrading. Mould on ceilings is a health hazard. Door doesn't automatically lock behind you. Easy too forget.
I arrived for check in and was given a few different confusing and conflicting explanations of parking. Thankfully, street parking on the weekend turned out to be free, however I was stressed all night about the security of my vehicle. Staff seemed to be a family, nice enough foreigners with good enough english. Got one key for the room, it was grimy and the hotel card was split. Opened room to dank smell which I found to be extensive mold covering the entire small bathroom ceiling and even adorning the single hard plastic chair in the room. Humongous health hazard and a striking testament to just how thorough the cleaning was (or wasn't). Like, how do you get mold on a chair? You don't even wipe down the chairs? Furniture was very clearly not moved to be vacuumed, as there was a thick coating of dust in the tight spaces a vacuum wouldn't reach. No screens on windows. Loud, dusty AC which caused me to have an allergic reaction. Scuffs and dents and rips and marks and stains and on and on and on all over the walls, carpet, tiles, furniture, bed linen, and mattress itself. Shower head not attached to the wall, trying to adjust its angle caused the pipe in the wall to become exposed. Plumbing was super loud. Didn't even bother to go look at the communal kitchen, because I started reading reviews and saw other people's awful experiences and I just wanted to try to get through the night as it was very cheap and very convenient and I was praying
Shower flooded room every time so as a result the room stunk of damp and had to sleep with the window open, no locks on windows, ended up cancelling my stay early because the smell was so bad.
Good value. Exactly what was needed for short stay

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We found the location was good, quiet street. Rooms very basic , dust along skirting boards and carpet smelt like dirty socks, bed comfy with clean linen. We payed extra hoping to get bed away from wall but just got regular room same as everyone. Had gentleman accuse our room useing his own key while we were in bed , so one key fits all. Apart from the smelly carpet and the locks on the doors it wasn’t a bad place to stay.
There was nothing to like, the place & my room especially was filthy & when i spoke to the front desk & said my room was filthy he said to me well you have to pay more money for a clean room, i said I would never come back & he said that’s ok, worst experience ever
Its a pokey little place. If one guest is at the reception to check in or check out there's no more space for any others. Any others wanting to check in at the same time would have to queue up outside on the street. The room was small (6'0 x 10'0) but relatively clean except for a bad smell of wet carpet. The bed had a very old mattress with broken springs. Last two mornings I woke up with severe lower back pain. The toilet with a 3'0x 3'0 shower was very tight but clean. The room had a small built in cupboard, a built in tiny desk, a small fridge and a an air conditioner functioning well.Backpacker type accommodation for single or double occupancy.

Very basic hotel and not the greatest room. You get what you pay for and this one was cheap.
Room was reasonably clean but very dusty behind furniture, tv dint work properly was a pixellated. Bed was a bit hard but ok enough for a sleep. Could hear noises from people walking down the corridor and closing their doors.
Returned to our room just before midnight to find an unknown MALE asleep in our bed! Our room was locked. How did he get in??? Staff said it was "impossible" ... yeah I sure wasn't dreaming it! Shower head nearly broken off wall, some dirty marks on back of bathroom door (not even gonna imagine what THAT was). Was looking for an inexpensive place to crash for the night, but will not be recommending this place.
