I was concerned about parking. I was advised that I could park in the visitor parks but there was a 4 hour limit with tow away provision. Also there were insufficient parking spaces available most of the time. These apartments are clearly designed for students and not really suitable for visitors to Brisbane.

The property is a little tired and run down. No WI-FI was available as advertised. Basic items in apartment not there (garbage bags, hairdryer) and others that had to be requested. Manager lovely and helpful and convenient location.

Frustration in gaining the key to the apartment

Access to the apartment requires an access code to the letter box in order to get the key for the apartment. This was not stated in the advertisement for the property. However the manager of the apartments rang the day prior to our arrival advising of the entry procedures. After scanning and sending my ID to the property manager, I requested that he provide the access code by email. However he insisted that I ring the day of my arrival and he would provide the code. I rang twice prior to arriving at the property and then once whilst at the property but the phone kept going to voice mail. In frustration I rang Hotels.com telling them I was unable to get on to the property manager. They also had difficulty contacting him. Finally he rang me and provided the access code for the letter box so that I could obtain the key for the apartment. This was extremely frustrating process which could have been avoided, if he had sent me an email with the access code in the first place. The apartment is also very sterile and bland and as a result does not feel homely. Also the carpet had not been vacumed properly and a plastic bag with some suspicious contents left on the outside aircon unit.

The apartment was virtually new in all respects and had been refurbished to a great standard. The apartment block was located within a couple of minutes walk to supermarket and restaurants / cafes. The outlook was superb over parks with the Brisbane city skyline as a backdrop. A large balcony was airy and a delight from which to enjoy the sunset. All this and less than 10 minutes drive from the city centre. Perfect!
