About this property

Lakefront Cottage #6 | Dock | Mtn & Lake Views

  • Summary:

Cottage Six delivers the quintessential New England lake camp experience — warm knotty pine walls, lakeside dining with panoramic water views, and enough sleeping space for the whole crew. Tucked right on the shores of Newfound Lake, one of the cleanest lakes in New England, this is the kind of place where summers become memories.

    The Space:

The main level features a comfortable living room with a reclining sofa, recliner chair, and flat-screen TV — all wrapped in warm knotty pine that gives the space that genuine camp character guests love. At the far end, a lakeside dining nook with wrap-around windows and seating for 4 is the standout of the cottage — unobstructed Newfound Lake views from every seat at the table. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking: electric range/oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware and dishware you need.

A steep wooden ladder off the living area leads up to the open loft, which overlooks the main floor below through a classic pine railing.

    Bedrooms:

✔ Bedroom 1: Queen bed with knotty pine walls, dresser, mirror, and ceiling fan. Lake views through the bedroom window.

✔ Upper Loft: Open to the living space below, featuring three twin beds and one full-size bed, plus a dresser. Great for families or groups needing flexible sleeping arrangements. Please note the loft ladder is steep — use caution, particularly with young children.

✔ Linens and towels are available for a $55/stay fee, or guests are welcome to bring their own.

    Bathroom:

One full bathroom with a shower, vanity, and classic cottage character throughout.

    ★ Outdoor Living ★

Step outside and you're right on the water. The cottage includes access to a shared dock, giving you direct lake access for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply dangling your feet over the edge with a cold drink in hand. Various outdoor seating areas invite you to soak in the stunning mountain and sunset views, while a private grill lets you fire up dinner al fresco. A shared firepit on the property is perfect for evening s'mores and stargazing.

Mooring Available: Bringing a boat? A mooring is available for $75 per stay—just let us know in advance. Please note boat and trailer parking is not permitted on-site. Trailer storage is available at a nearby marina for a small fee; simply stop in and mention you’re staying at Lakeside Cottages to arrange parking. If arriving on Saturday with a trailer, please plan to drop it off before 2 PM while the marina is open.

    Guest Access:

Guests will have full, exclusive access to the entire cottage during their stay — all indoor living spaces, the main-level bedroom, the loft, the full bathroom, the fully equipped kitchen, and all common areas, including the living room.

Outdoors, guests have access to various seating areas, a private grill, and shared dock access — your direct gateway to Newfound Lake for swimming, fishing, and waterfront relaxation. The shared firepit on the property is also available for evening use. Two designated parking spaces are included with the cottage.

This is a cottage community with 6 cottages and a main house on the property. Some outdoor amenities such as the dock and firepit are shared with neighboring cottage guests, so we ask that all guests be respectful of the space and those around them.

    The Neighborhood:

Bristol, NH is a classic New England lakeside town with a relaxed, welcoming energy that has drawn families back to Newfound Lake for generations. The cottage sits right on the eastern shoreline at the foot of the lake, putting you within walking distance of local restaurants, a beloved ice cream shop, and a public beach — everything you need for a perfect lake day without ever getting in the car.

Newfound Lake itself is the crown jewel of the area. Fed by eight underground freshwater springs, it is widely regarded as the cleanest lake in all of New England and one of the most pristine bodies of water in the entire Northeast. The surrounding landscape — rolling mountains, dense pine forests, and quiet coves — makes it one of the most scenic and unspoiled settings the Lakes Region has to offer.

Beyond the waterfront, Bristol and the surrounding towns offer a wonderful mix of outdoor adventure and local charm. You're a short drive from Wellington State Park, Polar Caves, Cardigan Mountain trailheads. For bigger outings, Weirs Beach, Meredith Village, the Tilton Outlets, and the Mt. Washington Boat Cruise are all within easy reach. In the winter months, Ragged Mountain and Gunstock Ski Area are both accessible for a great day on the slopes.

Whether you're here to fish, hike, ski, boat, or simply sit on the dock and do nothing at all — this neighborhood delivers in every season.

    Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is recommended for making the most of your stay. Bristol and the surrounding Lakes Region are best explored by car, and having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to chase sunsets, hit the slopes, explore nearby towns, or find that perfect fishing spot on your own schedule.

From the cottage, you're just a short walk from dining, ice cream, and the public beach — making it easy to leave the car behind for most of your lakefront days. For day trips, major routes connect you quickly to Meredith, Plymouth, Laconia, and beyond.

Ride-share availability is limited in the area, so personal transportation is strongly advised. Two parking spaces are included with the cottage.

    Interaction with Guests:

We're here whenever you need us — available 24/7 by phone, text, or through the booking platform. Whether you have a question before you arrive, need a local recommendation once you're settled in, or run into something during your stay, we respond quickly and take care of our guests.

That said, we believe the best stay is one where you feel completely at home and undisturbed. We respect your privacy and won't be hovering — our goal is simply to make sure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on enjoying the lake.

Don't hesitate to reach out at any point. We're genuinely excited to host you and want your time on Newfound Lake to be nothing short of exceptional.
