About this property

Midge: cozy studio cabin, firepit, perfect for anglers w/wading river access

  • This cozy cabin sleeps up to three comfortably and includes two screened covered porches; relax on the wicker furniture in the front of the cabin and dine at the table in the back while enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature around you. A firepit as well as complimentary firewood awaits your story telling evenings. This one-room studio features a full well appointed kitchen and a private, full bath. (All linens are provided.) If you prefer cooking outside, a propane grill and utensils are provided. Complimentary items include coffee/filters for drip-coffee maker, 2 milk-crates of seasoned firewood/kindling, and free hi-speed 60mbps fiber Wifi along with Hulu +Live TV. Tailwaters Lodge is beautifully located on 540’ of the South Holston River, a tailwater just below the South Holston Dam, a prime spot for wade-fishing for wild brown trout and plentiful rainbow trout. And, the property abuts the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) public lands offering an additional mile of ideal wade fishing, TVA Bike trails, and TVA hiking trails.

Super Cute

Would definitely recommend. The Midge is a super cute cabin. It was very clean and the fire pit was a definite plus. With the porch lights off you can see a gazillion stars. No views like that in the city. The walking trails are great and go right by the river and its always fun to ride up to the dam where it feels like you're on top of the world. May stay here again on my next visit home.

ADORABLE little cottage!

Amazing little cottage. Bed was quite rough, but everything else about it was perfect. The covered front AND back porches pushed us outside more comfortably also, wich was very nice.
