Clean room with a good bed and OK bathroom. Ventilation was bad. Needed to keep window open to get air, but then you also get noise (traffic + and people talking outside). Breakfast was OK but expensive with regards to what you get. Reception was closed most of the time which was not great. Location was fine and parking option was good. Also had elctrical car charging options (3 chargers).

The property is clean, floors are very squeaky, staff is nice, no elevator which made it challenging with all the luggage we had. All in all a recommendable hotel.

Charming hotel, questionable cleaner

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast good. Bathroom had a lot of black mould, but cleanliness was otherwise good. Clearly an older building, but that adds to the charm. The cleaner kept trying to come into my room in the morning — including opening my door wide — despite my repeated indications that I was naked, and that she could come back at 11.

Able to chech in at 08:45 and get breakfast. Simple breakfast and ok quality. Cold bathroom. Very dirthy in the ventilation almost blocked. Good size room. This was in the eastern.

cheap good location with strange people at night

Positive: - great location walking distance to a shopping street - free parking space in the backyard of the hotel - breakfast included + cheap when compared with other hotels (they serve booze with the breakfast - gammel dansk) Negative: - disgusting bathroom (old and filthy - you do not want to touch anything) - hot in the room - no A/C - you need to sleep with an open wondow - BUT (!) then you hear every car and scooter that drives by on the cobbelstone road, and you hear all the drunks walking and screaming in downtown. You also inhale the cigarette smoke from outside (!) - not very clean in general - at night I saw a half-naked lady on the corridor followed by a man walking 20 feet behind her up to the room. Another lady was sitting and waiting downstairs at the closed reception (!) - she went in and out - smoked outside the hotel - all the smoke was going up to the room (!) - awful experience! You get scared to go out. - there should be someone in the reception all night long to prevent such situations - sleepless night If you do not care about the surroundings and noises - go for it. It is a good price. But if you want to have a quiet undisturbed goodnight sleep - go somewhere else.

Hotel Phønix is a simple old hotel. No elevator, the floor squeaks and the breakfast is basic. But all in all quite nice, don’t expect the grand experience, the hotel isn’ttrying to be anything else than it is. I do recommend for a short stay if you don’t plan to use the hotel as special part of your vacation.

The pictures of the hotel looked very nice, but it wasn't realistic. The bathrooms are very old, both me and my wife showered in slippers cause it felt little hygenic not to. The room has very little furniture and is not cosy at all.

NB! Det er ingen heis, så dette hotellet passer ikke for eldre, dårlig til beins eller om du skal transportere en barnevogn opp/ned hver dag. Vi bodde her i forbindelse med DanaCup, så vi var ikke så mye på rommet (heldigvis). Dette er et gammelt hotell, så ikke forvent moderne standard på noe. Det er ingen ac eller ventilasjon på rom eller bad. Vindu på rommet må være åpen hele tiden (om du ønsker luft), så det er en del støy fra utsiden. Rommet ble ikke vasket i løpet av 5 dager. Vi fant ut at om du ønsker at rommet skal vaskes så må du gi beskjed til resepsjonen (som stenger kl 15 hver dag). Golvet i hotellrommet gynger og knirker (når et barn går der). Badet: Det er mugg, det lukter kloakk og er ingen avtrekk. Rett og slett ekkelt! Håndkle blir ikke byttet om du ikke gir beskjed om det. Frokostbuffet: Det er god mat i buffet, men litt dårlig utvalg. Pluss: Det er gratis parkering på hotellet. 2 elbilladere som fungerer (disse er ikke gratis).

Der var indelukket og der stank på værelset da vi ankom. Det tog timer at lå lugten væk. Der var intet personale da vi ankom, kun en nøgle og et nødnummer. Det var søndag så ingen mulighed for at spise andet end fra grillen eller sandwich fra Føtex. Værelset var i meget dårlig stand, ingen afløb i badeværelset udover bruseren. Så al vand der ikke ramte brusekabinen forblev på badeværelsesgulvet. Virkelig upraktisk og ubehageligt at vander rundt i. Morgenmad var ok. Kæledyrsvenligt.

Når vi kom på ettermiddagen ca kl 16.00 var resepsjonen stengt, og vi så ingen hotellansatte før til frokost neste dag. Resturant og bar var stengt selv om det sto at den skulle være åpen. Rommet var stort, men veldig varmt siden det ikke var aircondition. Under vinduet sto det ein bosscontainer, som ga dårlig lukt på rommet når vi hadde vinduet åpent. Også på badet var det en dårlig lukt. Frokosten var god. Gratis parkering og mulighet for lading av elbil, samt flott beliggenhet midt i sentrum

Det står i beskrivelsen at det er restaurant på hotellet, men det var det ikke. Alt var lukket når vi ankom, og det var ikke personale tilstede. Vi ringte og fikk byttet rom, og vi hadde forventet å spise på restauranten. Det var en nærliggende restaurant som var ok.
