The location if this house is amazing. The house was beautiful and clean. They had everything we needed. The river was a nice place to paddle board. Checking in and out was extremely easy. We could not have picked up better house for our group

Great little gem!
We met up here, 3 families! Had plenty of bed space and entertainment/hangout space for us all! Convenient to the Redwoods and the Oregon beaches. Close to Brookings for groceries, gas, etc... we enjoyed our time here and would definitely recorecommend and return!

Beautiful spot of tranquility
This place was all that was advertised. So peaceful and awesome setting. Right on the river with a great fire pit. It was like camping, but with all the amenities of home. We had such a nice time. Our thanks to the Owner for being so easy to work with.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing
We arrived after dark and were unable to see much of the property since we were busy unpacking. When I woke up in the morning to a beautiful Brookings day, I was excited to find citrus trees in bloom (in February!), Camellias, and Azaleas. The deck is amazing and literally a stones throw to the river. The home is very comfortable and views of the river from living room and den are great. The beds are very comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed the fire pit and of course we had to make s’mores. In this Covid era we were in need of respite from work and home. This was wonderful!! I would definitely recommend this place to families and friends. This would be a beautiful place for a small wedding ceremony with the river as your backdrop.

Great Stay!
We had a great weekend. Great place to introduce my kids and my boyfriends kids to each other. Lots of space for everyone. Big kitchen to gather for meals, nice property to play games together. And everyone loved the hot tub!

Family visit in brookings
Nice stay. House is nice and located next to the river. Kitchen is fully loaded with whatever you might need as far as appliances, dishes, spices and other supplies. Hot tub is also a plus. A little outdated but we really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to visit the coast which is beautiful and the redwoods which are majestic. Good location

Place was everything we expected.
Place was nice and we had a great time. Beautiful setting. TV is streaming only with ROKU which we did not have a password for, no local service. Recommend replacing the frying pans and fixing the coffee pots. Minor concerns for a great stay.

Lovely river retreat
Loved our stay, especially the fishing experience and outdoor fire pit. My only question was why were we asked to strip beds and do laundry given there was already a cleaning fee. We left the place spotless.

Thanksgiving with family
The place was just as advertised. We had a great stay and are talking about going back during the summer. Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by palm trees right on the river was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely stay there again.

Couldn’t be any closer to CA!
Property is located on the last street to the OR/CA border. The code on the lockbox did not match what was sent on Homeaway. Tamara quickly responded with the correct code. Pictures are very accurate to the property. It comfortably slept 8 adults. My brother in law found a lighter inside the sheets. We didn’t smell any smoke in the house. There are plenty of condiments, coffee, tea and coffee filters. Overall pleasant stay!

Great location
Property is as advertised. Great location and beautiful scenery. May be that hidden gem you’re looking for. We had 20+ family members over for a BBQ and there was plenty of room for all. Cleaning crew was still working away at 4:00 check in time. Had to wait about 45 minutes. They also showed up a day early due to a scheduling miscommunication. But that was resolved quickly. Tamara is a wonderful host and was very responsive to our inquiries. Can’t wait to return to Brookings. Thanks for making this a reunion to remember.

Quiet and relaxing property with everything you need for your home away from home.
We arrived to a spotless home with everything we needed for our long weekend. There were 7 of us and we had more than enough dishes, silverware, towels, space and so much more. There were family games, movies, a variety of books and brochures for local activities. The hot tub is placed where we could look at the river during the day and gaze at the stars at night. My nephew kept saying he wished he could live there and said he was going to miss the house and hot tub when we left!! We look forward to staying here in the future.

Great place. We loved hanging out around the campfire in the evening. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's advertised as 4 bedrooms when it is not. The fourth bedroom is a family/office type room with a futon. It has no door and is completely open to the house

Beautiful property
Stayed here with our granddaughters. What a great place! Close to town but removed enough to be quiet and peaceful. The river is gorgeous. The flowers all around the house were in bloom. Owner in easy to contact with any questions. Great kitchen if you love to cook like me. Beds are super comfy. Hot tub was great! Great deck for relaxing. Close to the beach. We will definitely be back for some fishing.

Cozy, homey cabin like feeling with a mariner theme.
Nice and comfortable and really nice to look at. It was clean and it had all we needed and more. Umbrellas for the rain. Fishing gear for fishing. Hot tub for relaxing and washer and dryer for doing our laundry and towels and great kitchen and the river was amazing having it so close. i had such a wonderful night sleep better there than my own home.

Great start to our family vacation
This was our first trip to Oregon and our first time renting through home away and every thing was so very nice the house was very clean and everything was with it and I mean everything lots of towels extra bedding all kinds of kitchen stuff and the river front was real nice you can fish right from the yard and catch fish ,we had set a budget and this was a bit over that but we were so happy that we did it and we will come back

Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere
This was a really comfortable home for our family and dog. We appreciated that it allowed dogs and was big enough for my husband and I and our adult children. It is a great spot right on the river. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and peaceful setting. The outside area has a nice deck and then lots of room as we hosted an extended family BBQ one evening as many of us were staying in the area for a wedding. There was plenty of space for parking, and grounds were lush and green as is typical for OR. If you are looking for fancy and modern you may be disappointed, but it is clean and has all you need available. Interior is as pictures indicate. The owner Tamara was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property for a larger group/family/pet friendly. The river was fun for kayaking (not included-we borrowed from family in area). There is no where to walk in immediate area, but there is a beautiful state beach with amazing driftwood right across the highway with lots of parking. There are also some of the most amazing hikes in the surrounding area - so beautiful! The one thing we would have liked was to have secured internet. The service was fine, but we own a business and prefer the network be secured. All in all we have a wonderful stay!

Fantastic experience!!
This home had everything we needed. The first morning I started it by watching the wildlife on the river drinking my coffee. It was quite, but close to town. We spent busy days away so it was nice to go back to to the house and have great beds to sleep on. The hot tub was a great bonus!

Home away from Home
What an amazing time we had at Tamera's home. From the inviting décor to the quiet beautiful area it is located, we couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. The home exceeded our expectations. Wedding Gathering Place
We rented the home for a gathering spot for family and friends for my son's wedding. We hosted the rehearsal dinner here as well. The home was very clean and well appointed. There was plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen is well stocked. The only thing I wished for was a large stock pot for cooking crab. The grounds are beautiful and property is close to town. The caretaker lives on the property and was very friendly. His dog Zip even came to visit with our dog and he was very well behaved. Tamara was very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions. If you want a luxury rental with brand new furnishings for high end entertaining this may not be for you, but if you are hosting a family get together with multiple generations and varied interests this home is perfect. It really felt like a home that any member f our family could live there. A great home and if gathering in Brookings again we will absolutely get this home.
