"We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. "The location next to Derwentwater was amazing with great walks from the door and right next to the jetty for the Keswick Launch. We loved watching the birds on the feeders outside the restaurant windows. The breakfast was fantastic with excellent quality ingredients and plenty to choose from including a self service full English cooked breakfast. Our small double bedroom was very clean and looked recently decorated. I loved the decor and the bar reminded me of a hunting lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed our stay there."

"My husband, our pup and I had the pleasure of staying at the Halston for one night, and I wish we had booked for longer. The apartment/hotel rooms are large, far more generous than the photos, and very well equipped for both long and short stays. The staff provided a welcome package on arrival, complete with dog treats, crumpets, jam, butter, milk and coffee – which was so appreciated after a day of travel. The space is quiet, clean, comfortable and very conveniently located to the train station. With good restaurants on site and a nice outdoor area for a pint – it is just a lovely hotel."
