Studio apartment overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River

This studio apartment overlooks the beautiful Mississippi River in Brownsville MN, in pool 8. It has a living room, full kitchen, private bath & sleeping area (2 queen beds). It has a private access & room to bring and park your bass boat. Charging batteries possible. Along with a fully equipped kitchen is access to a gas grill for cooking your meals. WIFI is included.

There are two boat launches within minutes of this rental. We are also located along an MRT biking highway. Eagles, pelicans, swans and other river wild life are frequently seen around this location throughout various points of the year.

Situated in a driftless region,this area is home to scenic bluffs and valleys with gorgeous views from both Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are 15 min from downtown La Crosse, WI, 15 miles from New Albin, and 27 miles from Lansing, IA. The area also boasts wonderful trout streams for fly fishing enthusiasts. White tail deer and Eastern wild turkeys make their home here and offer memory making hunting and/or scouting opportunities for interested individuals.

This apartment is along Mississippi Pool 8 area. There are many local and major league (Bass Master Elite, Bass Master Open and Major League Fishing) fishing tournaments in this pool during the summer months.

This apartment was completed as a vacation rental as of March 31, 2018 and has been full with people from Florida to Rhode Island,, from Washington to London, Beijing to London and even locals, living 10 minutes away, wanting a night away from home. It is a truly beautiful and peaceful rural location with quick access to a bigger city and all the options you expect to find there. You may see, and hear, barges and/or trains going up and down the river hauling their loads. (The train crossings are over a mile away, so their horns can be heard, but most guests indicate they are not too intrusive. )

Family trip

We had a great stay. This was our second time to the property. We rented the house and studio appartment and had plenty of room for the grandparents, parents, and 3 children. The new firepit area was a nice addition.

Mississippi River Getaway

My husband and I stayed in the studio apartment for a 3 night getaway and really enjoyed our time. The apartment is set up in a way that makes it feel spacious. It's the perfect spot for a couple or small family to relax, play games and explore the beauty of the area.

Great stay!

Everything about the stay was great! Beautiful view from the house. House was very clean with all the amenities we needed and more. Home owners were super friendly and helpful as well. We were traveling for a fishing tournament and parking a boat/truck and plugging in to keep the batteries charged was no problem at all.

Absolutely LOVED this apartment!

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised! This apartment was bigger and a lot nicer than what we were expecting! It was clean and the beds were so comfortable! We were out hiking all day and loved coming back here and putting our feet up to watch some TV and relax at night.

Quiet and out-of-the-way

Nice, airy apartment with good kitchen. All we heard were trees and the river. Close to the highway which made it an easy drive to Crescent and across the river to La Crosse.

Perfect home away from home

Easy check in and well-designed apartment. Well stocked dishes and cookware with new/clean appliances and fixtures. Close enough to Winona (40min) and La Crosse (20min) and House on the Rock (2hrs) to be a perfect place to stay. Also, great sunrise veiws! (That don't shine in and wake you up either).

River views getaway

This stay provided river views and a quaint yet spacious opportunity for my partner and I. With nature opportunities essentially right outside the door, there was also an opportunity to commute a short distance into town-a great blend. A couple of items for consideration are the entry staircase requiring individuals to carry up and in luggage, coolers, etc., and also the space being one large room with only the bathroom offering a private space. Certainly items manageable for more agile individuals and those who don’t mind sharing bedding space. Otherwise, the space itself works well for the value. For follow up for the property owner, I recommend attention to some of the details. Placing a more personal touch of information within the welcome binder (recommendations, pictures, etc) and cleanliness of dishware prior to new visitors.
