Nice Hotel!

We booked a last minute stay having to be in town for work and everything exceeded our expectations from check in to check out. The front desk host was very nice and provided exceptional customer service! Hotel was nice and clean, room was clean, spacious, and cable TV. We will return to this hotel if we are ever in the area again.

Breakfast was fantastic bc of Scott!

Check-in was quick. Room was clean. The breakfast was fantastic! Highlight: Scott was all over it. Food was fresh, counters were clean, tables were clean, he was busy but always friendly. He is a rare find in a world where nobody cares or takes pride in their work. Visiting kids at HPU and will always stay at this place now.

We were there because my dad was in the hospital and we didn’t know how long our stay would be. The staff was very accommodating and worked with us to extend our stay more than once and keep our room. It was a huge help to us.

Horrible breakfast / comfy room

Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was terrible. Went down at 8:30 and only eggs left. I was hoping they would put out more items but they didn’t. The orange juice/apple juice machine was bad. All drinks had a weird taste and coffee was horrible.

Nice and clean. TV malfunction finally corrected. Desk often unattended and at times clerks were rude. Adequate breakfast. Always resent motels raising their prices substantially during special celebrations.

NO SYMPATHY FOR UNEXPECTED SITUATIONS

I booked this through a third-party on Hotels.com and was going to Brownwood because my Mother-In-Law was admitted to the hospital there for heart complications and while driving to Brownwood I was informed that my MIL was severe and they would be transferring her to Abilene and so I called the hotel and the lady was very understanding and she said because I booked through a third-party I would have to cancel with them. I reached out to Hotels.com and they said they would cancel it and it would be up to the Hotel itself if they wanted to refund my money. So I checked my CC and they still charged me for one night. Not even any sympathy to the situation.

The parking was horrible. All the spots were taken and I had to park at the fueling station next door. Laundry requires quarters and there’s only 1 machine. Staff was rude and didn’t have enough quarters for me to exchange bills. Staff suggested I go to the fuel station to get quarters! I think if you’re going to require quarters then you should have them available. Laundry closed at 10pm. I didn’t realize that and when I returned from the fueling station, the lights were out and my card didn’t work to retrieve my clothes, which were covered in laundry soap and still dirty. I had to ask staff to open the door for me to get my clothes. I had to wash important clothes in the bathtub. I was finally able to dry them when staff finally told my spouse that the laundry was actually open. We also had a very loud family directly above us. I had asked the same staff member earlier to ask that family to be quiet. He gave very little response. I called from my room and spoke with a lovely lady, I believe she had purple hair but didn’t get her name, she was able to ask the to be quiet and I was able to sleep. Gentleman that I dealt with over the laundry issue threatened to have my family removed from the hotel due to “feeling threatened” because I swore out loud to him over the laundry issue. Simple solution to that issue is to have more than one machine and having quarters available or a change machine for guests.
