Honey Springs Cabin- restored historic cabin 12 minutes from Lake of the Ozarks

  • Historic cabin restored in a wooded setting- This cozy retreat features 2 bedrooms (in a sense), with a queen bed and privacy in one bedroom and a living room with 1 twin bed and a sofa bed. Also there is a full bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy the convenience of a washing machine/dryer, heating, and AC during their stay. A small pond makes for a perfect view off the large porch. The cabin was built in the 1860s in Iberia. In 2022 it was carefully dismantled, relocated and restored. It is now fully insulated with modern conveniences.

Great communication with the host before and after check-in. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and clean. We liked the big outside porch and how they identified the nearby trees with markers. The mattress was also very comfortable so we slept well. Overall, we had a great stay!

This cabin is prefect for those looking for a quite location with all the necessities to make it so you don't have to roam far to enjoy all this place has to offer, from the grill and camp fires to exploring the surrounding area.

Girls’ Weekend

The owner, Wayne, was incredibly responsive, the property is freshly built/remodeled, and the location is a serene wooded area overlooking a small pond! My girlfriends and I spent a lot of time on the large front porch, and we will book here again!

Loved this little slice of heaven! The cabin was super clean! Bed was amazing!! The aesthetic was very homey!! There were board games to play. Nothing beats a morning of coffee on the that porch!! And you are close enough to the lake without actually being at the lake. My family and I hope to return here. 10/10!!! It was unbeeeeeeeeliveable.

Weekend Wedding

We stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. After a long drive and then a busy day, the cabin was just the tranquil environment we needed to unwind. The décor was very nostalgic. The bed was comfortable, and sitting on the back porch listening to the birds and enjoying the view was very peaceful.

Cabin in the woods

LOVED this little cabin. It was just secluded enough to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to everything we needed. Wayne and his wife were amazing to work with. The dogs loved the big porch to lay on and watch/listen to nature. We had everything we needed. We had such a great experience and we will definitely be back!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute little cabin in the woods!

Cute old timey cabin

My children and I stayed at this beautiful property over the weekend. It was everything we wanted and more! The cabin is nestled in a wooded glen with a little pond full of minnows and tadpoles that my daughter enjoyed catching. The old-fashioned kitchen was well-appointed with all the dishes, pots, and pans we needed to cook our meals. Wayne was a good resource for stuff to do in the area and was very responsive to my texts and messages. We had a terrific time and we will stay here again if we need a spot close to the lake in the future!

We really enjoyed staying here. We had a family get together at the Ozarks State Park and needed to accommodate a family member with a wheelchair that could not camp. It worked great for him and us! Beautiful secluded location in the woods. If you’re lucky the neighbors dog (Coco) will come by and say hi. She is so sweet! Lots of critters out at night by the lake. It was a lot of fun lotto the frogs. We saw a snapping turtle during our stay too!

Cabin was clean, cozy and gave the feeling of outdoor get away. Cabin had special touches such as games and activities for all ages and a wonderful porch on the front and back of cabin for sitting and relaxing.

It was an awesome stay! We got the quiet cabin in the woods experience but still convenient to get to places near by for fun and food. The cabin is well taken care of. Everything feels old time authentic. I've already recommended this place to my other family members.

I booked this cabin for my parents to have a weekend getaway. They enjoyed it so much. They enjoyed some of the old antiques that were there for viewing and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Wayne was very helpful, considerate and accommodating. Would reccommend for that need some time to get away.
