It was a joy to stay in a "non-big box" hotel: the room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, the whole space was beautiful, and the whole vibe was wonderful. Delicious coffee was available in the hallway on each floor starting at 6 am--even better! We hope to stay here again!

Very friendly and clean. Beautiful decor for the holiday; felt cozy. They were gracious enough to have our bagged breakfast earlier than usual to accommodate our morning departure. Close to Bowdoin, restaurants and shops. Only regret was not dining at the restaurant. Next time!

They are doing pretty much everything right at The Federal. The place is elegant and modern, the rooms are lovely and the restaurant is fantastic. We were surprised to find such a sophisticated hotel in Brunswick, and would happily stay there again. The only thing I wish they had was coffee in the room, but it was easy to walk down the hall to the coffee station by the elevator,
